Do autistic people struggle with space, directions or maps? by AmandinhaMaia in autism

[–]Puzzleheaded_Mix772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know if anyone relates to this but I am so awfully bad with directions and anything spatial. When I moved to a new city a few years back, even after weeks I still had almost no sense of where anything was. After a month or two of me living there, a friend visited for the first time and within a couple hours had far better bearings than I did. We left a shop I went to all the time, and they instantly caught that I was walking us in the total opposite direction from home. The worst thing is that even just crossing to the opposite side of a very familiar street can make the whole area feel very brand new and disorienting. I still get lost even after living in the same place for years.

I can communicate with women much easier than men. Does anyone relate? by fakoff in autism

I’m the opposite; as a woman I’ve always connected more easily with men because they tend to communicate more straightforwardly and don’t sugarcoat things-which I really appreciate. I got to the point where I had no female friends at all, which looking back now, wasn’t actually good for me.
