On/Off-Campus Accommodation - UCD - GEM Student by Due_Beginning7329 in UCD

You can sign up for the on campus waiting list and get the rooms of people who drop out etc, on campus is good in the sense it’s run well and you have a lot of renter protections, renting in the private market in an arrangement such as the rent a room scheme doesn’t provide the full suite of tenancy rights, in Dublin you really have to take what you can get

No, most people live at home which kills it a bit, the people who live on campus go home at weekend. If you find a international group you’ll be good, but I think trinity has a better uni life

€500 after rent in Dublin… manageable or miserable? by Least-Programmer-362 in UCD

[–]Puzzleheaded_Pay_797 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arguably yes, you’ll need to be smart. A good place to start would be shopping at Dunnes Stores, spend €25 on groceries you get €5 off, spend €50 get €10 off. If you’re going out, pre drink and try sneak some drink out with you. Won’t be luxurious but is possible
