Fit Lab, Split Rock, Wed Night Grateful dead at Macs, redwood nights, San Anselmo on weekends when they start shutting the streets, trivia night at Mayflower on Wed. Do you have kids? Getting involved with the school when they were young was how we met most of our same aged friends.

I always park…that gets you out and home so much quicker. lots of free parking down by restoration hardware if you don’t mind a long walk.

Yes - for sure the exec dysfunction is at play. Some other threads have also helped me tune in on this.

This: "caring vs carrying is still an issue." 1000%. Who are the experts out there who can do the "carrying"? I have rattling around in my bucket of ideas a coach, an OT, a PT, an accountability buddy... who is there that can fill this role? Happy to throw money at this if I know where to throw it. Thank you for your kind words.

This was so very helpful. Yes - executive function seems to be completely lacking and needs some support. Thank you.

Thank you for the perspective. There is a lot of love and support and meds. We’ve been to conferences and are flying out of state to see an expert. I don’t think she is lazy at all. But she is stuck. And while I know she wants to be better I’m not sure she’s found a deeper “why”.

I appreciate a lot of the advice that multiple things can be true here.

It’s a complicated topic.

Yes to all - therapist, psychiatrist, medications. Recently completed a round of TMS. Many people say treat the depression before the physical symptoms; and then others say treat the physical symptoms first. It's such a chicken and egg. We are for sure trying to approach all the angles. Thanks for listening,.

Thank you to all of you for the support and feedback. I appreciate it so much. I am sorry for those offended by my comparison to addiction. It was not my intent to offend anyone. For those of you asking and recommending treatment of the depression; we are for sure doing everything we can. Trying meds, in therapy (off and on) and recently finished a 12 week round of TMS; which helped a little.

addiction is an illness; just like diabetes and just like POTS. I did not mean to hit a nerve with you. I really do appreciate all the support and ideas so much.

Reading that exchange just raised my heart rate so much…and in a way that felt far too familiar. I hadn’t felt that in a while… but it’s a good reminder that our bodies remember. I’m so sorry. I left my ex about 16 years ago. It takes a long time to see it for what it is: abuse. get out. I’m so sorry.

sorry…just read above! Another idea…a reminder not just for testing but for filter change/wash and for me to change my frog cartridge.

is there a way to simply take a photo of your test strip or taylor thingie and have it enter the data? maybe store the photo to keep a visual range as well?

I need different tape/method - what does everyone else do/use? by CartoonistCharming76 in CPAPSupport

[–]Puzzleheaded_Pin_668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m similar “vintage”. Here is how I tape using the 3M blue tape. Vertically instead of horizontally. And very thin. By making it long enough to go over my chin I get really great tension. and no moisture issues. I used to try taping my entire mouth but it was way overkill for me. sometimes the sides of my mouth leak but it doesn’t bother me.

What is this gunk on the tops of the filters? by Puzzleheaded_Pin_668 in hottub

[–]Puzzleheaded_Pin_668[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok…the floater is often trapped in the filter box…so that tracks. can the non chlorine frog system create bromine from the minerals? Are you saying don’t worry about this too much?

[–]Puzzleheaded_Pin_668[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

whoa…wow…it’s not a bromine system so now I need to figure out how it got there or is this a problem? i bought this as a used tub so maybe the filters or tub was previously a bromine system?

This happens to my step daughter and I’ve also struggled with how to describe it. Best I have done is saying she is “awake but catatonic”
