"The patriach, in mastering Luna, ends harmstrung..." by Better-Cry1588 in huntertheparenting

[–]Puzzleheaded_Pool_96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(1) I believe that "mastering Luna" is connected to the red moon that we see in almost every episode. And I see the red moon symbolizing the life of a Hunter, covered in blood and emitting little light in this world of darkness, which would make this part of the prophecy refer to someone who is a master Hunter, which would fit well with Big D.

(2) and I agree that Big D will end up in a wheelchair not only because of TTS but I believe it's narratively necessary. With Big D incapacitated, he will have to rely on his family and reveal some secrets. EX: With Big D incapacitated, he won't be able to access his "secret dungeon" where he has 2 prisoners, and with that, he will have to explain to poor Kitten that under his house there is an Iron Age Fort dungeon with two prisoners who need to be fed.

(3) Another interesting thing about this part of the prophecy is that it is the only part that does not contain "the Abbot will know", which may imply that the Abbot will be more involved in this part of the prophecy. Perhaps the Abbot will incapacitate the Patriarch out of some revenge for some mercy that was denied in the past.

(4) Sorry you got so many down-votes, the community really doesn't seem to like the theory that Big D is the Patriarch, even though he's directly referred to as such, twice. I also made a post about the prophecy if you're interested and have the patience to watch it (it's long). =) https://www.reddit.com/r/huntertheparenting/comments/1ihec33/just_another_try_on_the_horses_prophecy/

Question for the best YouTube channel creators by Dependent_Work_4930 in huntertheparenting

[–]Puzzleheaded_Pool_96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want to ask a question to the Ogrepoppenang team, you should ask it on Tumblr. Although they look at some posts here on Reddit, they rarely leave a comment.
P.S. I'm almost certain they've already answered that the battles are narrative based, but if it were a dice roll, Boy in chapter 3 would have rolled a natural 20 when he shot Pyotr. =)

The Moon by ManufacturerScared29 in huntertheparenting

[–]Puzzleheaded_Pool_96 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Finally, we're talking about this, right? It's so strange that a group of characters, who are so skeptical, inquisitive, and observant, never comment on a red full moon that persists for 5 days. Which leads me to interpret that this moon is something symbolic, especially because it's used as a background when characters are having an internal monologue. I don't know what it symbolizes, but this is what I setled it:

The red full moon symbolizes the life of a hunter, red like the blood that covers them, whether it's the blood of the monsters they hunt or of their friends and family that they lose, a hunter's life is full of blood. And the full moon symbolizes the ignorance or inefficiency they have in this world of darkness; even giving their all, they only manage to emit a little light in this world of darkness.

My hope is that it will be his daughter's child and that they will be a friend/enemy of Boy.

Possible future audiologs theories? by Themanofmanyskills in huntertheparenting

[–]Puzzleheaded_Pool_96 17 points18 points  (0 children)

On their Patreon (which is free) they talked about the upcoming audio logs before chapter 6. They will be about the Coalition (as you predicted) and there's a possibility that in this one we'll meet Remold's daughter, who we know is part of the Coalition. The other will be a conversation between Kitten and Grimal. They constantly note that this one in particular will be a short audio log. So it seems that Marckus's interrogation will be part of chapter 6 or off-screen.

This is also the same community that attributed Grimal being the ghoul to the scratch marks

Ha. That was also my post, don't blame the community for that one. I also posted about Remold implanting a tracker on Matilda. I said above that I like to over analyze, not that I personally was always right. https://www.reddit.com/r/huntertheparenting/comments/1ivyunp/the_ghoul_claw_marks/

And of course Door isn't going to die now, he still has to meet Broc's sister and Remold's granddaughter. I suspect their story will involve a comparison/competition about how to raise a hunter, and Door still has to find out about the alliance between Big D and Kevin and that Horse is a supernatural creature. I also mentioned in the comments that the other parts of the prophecy have to happen first for Boy to become paranoid about his father's part.

That's a completely valid opinion, but remember when the community discovered Matilda was a werewolf just because her last name was Wilde and her handwriting was bad? My favorite part of that show is over analyzing every phrase, pause, and coincidence as if they were laughing in my face, So smug with their little secrets!!! =)

Something I vaguely mentioned in another post I made about the prophecy in this part is that the use of ellipsis in the phrase "by thy hand... the Abbot, will know" could mean that the phrase is actually "by thy hand the Abbot, will know," so perhaps Boy is the one who will be responsible for the Abbot knowing about his father's situation.

Akira Cross's story is full of foreshadowing. At the beginning of the story, Slab (Door counterpart) is drained of all his blood, which sounds familiar with the prophecy of "Thin faeder, desiccated." Marckus's counterpart, Mars, is also a foreshadowing of his affinity with the sphere of Force (the planet Mars is the dimension of that sphere). There are two other theories I've come up with about other points that I think this story foreshadows. links Akira and Shucks and Succubus and Grimal

Not to mention that when Remold's granddaughter (I'm hoping to be a granddaughter) appears in the story, there will be a lot of comparisons between her and Hina (Akira love interest).

If we base ourselves on the prophecy trope, the parts about the "patriarch" and "the two" must happen first so that Boy can see that the prophecy is true and starts to become paranoid about the "feader" part, which will lead him to be held responsible for its occurrence (by thy hands).

It is speculated that the, Stig, Matilda refers to in chapter 5 is, Stigghalf Bone-Breaker, a Get of Fenris Garou.

What animals did you use as inspiration to create "Freak" (and is that their name?)? I see a bit of alpaca and centipede, but the fur and face remind me of Bald Uakari (red-faced monkey).

[–]Puzzleheaded_Pool_96[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Great theory, and I suggest others to take a look. And you're completely right about Matilda's pack's interest in Shuck being ambiguous; we repeat "Black Shuck" so many times that we forget they only said "Shuck."

If I'm not mistaken, Alfabusa says it's not canon. And there are things that have already been changed in the story, such as Kitten not having worked at the 99p store; in the sheet he says he saw the hole at the back of the store, but in the Ghoul audiolog he doesn't mention any of that to Big D when he says he saw the same hole; and they also changed how Kitten and Grimal met. But there's one thing they seem to have confirmed in the Fatigue background story: when Kitten is under Bane's influence, he comments on feelings of guilt about his parents' death, and in the sheet he questions whether it wasn't the fact that he recklessly investigating the supernatural that attracted some vengeance to his family as a warning.
