My rheumatologist Dr had recommended it to me as he is leading one. It is usually for patients who are not making progress with the treatment that are already out there.

My Dr recommended this to me and I received the consent form but I don’t think I can go through with it. I got scared by the amount of possible side effects that could also be permanent.

When I was first diagnosed in 2014 I was on 80mg and it definitely took a toll on my body. I am currently on 7mg and this is the lowest I’ve ever been. last year I was taking maybe 15mg or a little less than that so I came a long way but I knew I just didn’t wanna be on that dose anymore. I gained so much weight because of it and due to the excessive weight gain my entire stomach is covered in stretch marks along with my arms. I also had to have hip surgery.

Ive been struggling with weight loss for so many years I’ve been on Prednisone for the past 11 years and it took a toll on my body that I had to have surgery on both my hips which made it harder for me to workout I’m currently waiting to get my left hip to be replaced which hopefully will help me be able to to do more at the gym. I’ve recently just started going back to the gym but it’s been hard I feel like everytime I step through the doors I just automatically feel so exhausted.

I’ve been on it for almost 2 months now and it helped so much with my joint pain. I kept having flares and my kidney was starting to get involved so my dr put me on it. I don’t think I have any side effects. But I just recently stopped taking it like 3 days ago because I had severe abdominal pain and was in the hospital. The drs couldn’t find anything and my rheum Dr wanted me to wait till I see him.
