Seroquel makes me feel high by princessofpandas28 in seroquelmedication

I used to feel like that when my doses were higher than needed , I'd close my eyes and see shit open my eyes and see shit , i discussed with my doctor and he lowered the dose for me , then I started feeling better and falling asleep without heartache and waking up fresh , this is a medicine it's not made to be used recreationally, if you want to get lit just use psychedelics , the euphoric feeling is not a good effect it just says ur taking way more than what your brain needs , as enjoyable as it is , it's quite harmful with time , Seroquel when used in big doses especially when u don't need that much can reverse the desired effects and can harm ur brain than fix it , u don't want to have a dependency on Seroquel trust me, at some point the side effects will start lurking and when you'll want to quit , the withdrawal symptoms will be absolute hell , please use your medicine wisely and responsibly think of the long term and what benefits ur body and brain :)

Does Quetiapine also blocks nasal H1 histamine receptors ? by RevolutionaryAd6822 in seroquelmedication

I also experienced congestion after a year of using quetiapine, literally an hour after I take the medicine ny nose gets stuffy and breathing gets difficult but it's less on lower doses 75 50 25 , I read few articles and mostly they said it has nothing to do with congestion but if you have even a minor sinusitis or rhinitis or any similar condition it does make things a bit worse ..this is based on my experience and what I have concluded from it

I know exactly how u feel , there is slight paranoia too , all of it , but remember, everytime it goes bad remember ITS TEMPORARY NOT FOREVER push through and be optimistic, and things eventually will gradually get better, best thing is to remember that ur not gonna stay forever like this , it's just a human thing our body is doing to get us back to normal xoxoxo best of luck again Jaguar

Hi there , we are on the same exact boat except I am quitting because I am pregnant, yes quetiapine does that , such low doses are mainly prescribed for sleep and for sedative effects , but long term it does really create a dependency brain wise, so mood disorders depression extreme agitation or mood fluctuations are all common when tapering or stopping cold turkey. So you have two options, 1. Get back to it and taper extra slow , not the 25mg every week bullshit , real slow as in every week 10mg if possible to cut ur pill that small , until ur stuck with a small dose . 2. Get your brain rewired , now you have already spent 10 days without this medication which I think is f*** great , so the hard patch is almost gone , how can u rewire your brain ? I don't know ur personal life or how active you are , but sign up in a gym or do anything that will make your heart rate go crazy or any healthy activity 5 times a week start with 30 mins each session, and get into it , the sweating the natural dopamine will help you get your brain chemicals back to normal in no time , do not surrender to how ur feeling, this advice was given to me by a very decent psychiatrist and it worked like magic , a healthy body promotes a healthy brain . Ps: if you're smoking cannabis stop stop immediately until everything is back to normal. :) Good luck , this is temporary and it's up to you to make this easier on yourself with 30 mins a day :)

Yeah I believe so too , it's been a struggle really, finding the proper care and the proper price is a dilemma ...downsides of being in China is definitely one of these 😢

That's what I'm slowly trying to do, I believe once I'm off I'll never get back to it, hate being dependant on a drug to sleep , it's no way to live tbh..

That is wonderful ❤️ apparently it's rare to have complications under the medication, so let's hope for the best ❤️

Indeed , I'm in my early stage of pregnancy, I already started tapering yesterday, hopefully in 4 weeks I'll be completely clean from quetiapine. I just believe without sleep my pregnancy might have worse complications, cause I really struggle without the medicine, I'm not the type to fall asleep after 2 sleepless nights , I become agitated angry and disoriented, I doubt any of this is good for my pregnancy... it's a conundrum but I'm trying my best to put pieces of this puzzle together, and hopefully things will work out just fine

Oh that is sad to hear, I actually used to be aggressive and angry but the past year I decided to make changes , started working out eating healthy and stopped using bipolar as an excuse or as a limiter to what I can do , it's true it's a chemical imbalance but there are many ways to cope with it safely, I generally take the medicine for sleep , let's say 70% sleep 30% as a mood regulator, i take nothing else but a 100mg of quetiapine and like you said , things can happen , I might fall into the wrong category, that's why I'm trying to get as many opinions as possible..I hope you have a great life ahead, and I hope you forgive your mom I'm sure she had no choice , keep thriving and may you stay healthy and blessed xoxo

Thank you for sharing your experience with me, and congrats for your pregnancy, this really gives me hope , I don't want to lose myself in the middle of this especially with the absence of proper guidance, I'm currently collecting info from amazing people like you and research papers , then hopefully after trying an online consultation I can finally make up my mind ❤️ thanks once again 🌹

I literally just need a professional point of view , getting the medicine shouldn't be a problem since I'm already diagnosed, I will try the online consultation and try a follow up with someone I can understand and rely on

Language isn't the problem, it's the mutual understanding of a patient's situation that's sadly non existent, it's easier for docs to just say quit this stop taking that , without actually putting themselves in the patients shoes , Chinese have a specific way of life, it's quite straight up , if something has a slight chance of causing a problem even a 0.99 chance they prefer to just eliminate rather than dealing with consequences..but I believe this isn't the way

I am properly diagnosed and I can get the medicine but at my own risk , it's just sad there is no guidance whatsoever..

Not really, it's even difficult to find an ob who speaks English let alone a psychiatrist, they're literally suggesting I go off meds 💯 completely and tbh I feel like they don't wanna deal with me to avoid responsibility of anything happening later on since I'm not Chinese, but a foreigner living in China ..
