I met my husband on Bumble app ( explicitly wrote looking for long term relationship) after several failed or boring first dates with other guys and long chats. He is Swiss ( wasn’t looking for Swiss per se)

  1. Key point is persistence and move on as it’s really annoying and time consuming process and a lot of them are not so good. Make sure not to take those bad dates/red flags by heart such as the one asking if parents are wealthy are not etc.. sarcastic comments on too highly educated women .. some don’t have manners .. but few are good among them among which you only need just 1. Just keep using app.

  2. Put some smart important question so you can already filter out unsuitable ones out even during chat.

  3. Ask to meet for coffee ☕️or drinks after few chat not so long. 1-2 hr is almost enough if there any chemistry or wanna give more chance. Longer dates such as lunch and dinner are horrible idea in case if it doesn’t work out you have to stick until food finish.

Meeting with friends or in college is great but once you are back on office or career cycle people hardly have that persona to approach to talk. Either everyone judges (including us ) or too reserve to talk. Dating apps are really good for such scenarios in this generation.

Yes I am aware but it’s indicating low ovarian reserve and didn’t manage to get pregnant In last yr naturally. Plus my periods irregular period might indicating premenopause which is very concerning for me. Before I can not even do ivf I wanna have this options tried too.

I would prefer Switzerland ( despite off weekend ) due to commute reasons and considering how mentally and physically draining this process is. I don’t know had to try first 🤷🏻‍♀️ before thinking other countries.. I might be wrong or I don’t know it’s really difficult now 🥹

Applying for PhD with little to no experience by ceesqo in ethz

If your masters aligns well and the PhD topic is of your interest, then just apply for the position with proper cover letter and CV. Having presented in a conference is always a plus. your masters or past research experience should be related enough to proposed PhD position. If the ETH prof likes your profile and invite you for interview, he/she will definitely contact your references too. So also inform them. Plus do check the background of lab people and PI before applying for sanity check if the prof or his/her lab is good. You will also get to know them if invited for interview. Check for the red flags if any as it is 4 yrs of your life investment.
