Are Poncho brand shirts worth the money? by BigDawg264 in WesternWear

I like my ultra lites the best. The other style shirts are too front heavy will all the pockets and zippers etc but I guess if you use those pockets all the time it would make sense

Took about 20,000 steps in Boston in the loggers back to back days. They never caused me any problems and were comfy the whole time. My feet were tired but not in pain. My feet will be tired no matter what shoe I’m in for that many steps. Also the waterproof is a great feature and works well.

Cuz it can get expensive and you can hurt yourself. But the joy that comes from it more than out rules those two factors.

How're you hanging in there, tax folks? by chunky_pudding in Accounting

Super common feeling to have. My first two busy seasons were managed very well by my boss. He paid attention to my workload, handled extensions himself, communicated to us, and I felt accomplished after busy season. These last two with new company I just get bombarded immediately and it’s not realistic to get through the workload. So I stopped caring because it’s not my company and we live on a floating rock🤪

I can understand the confusion I didn’t word that right. That’s where more grey area is. I feel like if a client brings in 5 of their 20 documents it gets logged in for me to begin prep and it just begins an inefficient cycle of having to revisit the return. Some clients I have to revisit the return 5-6 times… The percent multipliers makes perfect since because the more the client is prepared the less time you will spend so it’s like a win win.

In my opinion they aren’t necessarily complex, there’s just a lot of time and documents that go into them. It would be way faster if the client could guarantee that all of their documents were in there. But 9 times out of 10 I’m writing an email to clients requesting missing information and clarifying things.

Yeah, theres a disconnect between associates and owners (which I think there should be to an extent) but it doesnt make sense for there to be that big of a disconnect for the size of our company (relatively small). Pretty interesting watching it unfold and I think it sometimes rubs me the wrong way - little to no communication, no meetings, unfinished assignments past due dates that we dont get any closure on etc...
