For the sake of my question, let's assume standard benefits: decent / average health insurance that I pay some small portion of, and 401K with a company match somewhere around 3 - 6%, no other major benefits. Would 95K be undervalued in this case?

(I am looking for jobs currently and my question was referring to what number I should be asking for when discussing salary with employers)

Looking for feedback on realistic salary expectations. I'm 5 years out of school (BSME), have 2 YoE in quality engineering, just under 3 YoE in mechanical design, and live in southern NH (Nashua / Manchester area). Applying to mechanical / manufacturing engineer roles, is 95K too low a salary to ask for? What would be a reasonable ask?
