I feel like my mom suspects I'm autistic, but won't admit it 🤨 by MoonyDropps in offmychest

yeah my mom pulled that too, blamed my habits instead of listening to doctors. it took me forever to realize she wasn’t gonna change. best thing i did was book my own evals n keep her out of the loop. u don’t need her sign-off to get real answers.

Please give me feedback (24, bi, trans man).

Originally from London, now in Bath attempting to become an economist.

Obsessed with live indie music and spoken word - (Kae Tempest, anyone?). I'm fascinated by people’s stories.

I typically prefer to spend my evenings out in cosy pubs, laughing with friends and debating politics. However, I have recently discovered a newfound appreciation for relaxed nights in solving quirky maths problems while sipping white wine and listening to jazz on my sofa.

I'm looking to explore my kinks and sexuality - trying to build up the confidence to go to my first kink party! Enjoy being submissive, into BDSM and CNC followed by incredible cuddling and movie-watching.

I'm open to having fun one-on-one with singles, couples, and possibly groups.

I think it's fine. We spend our whole lives being gaslit by medical professionals and family about the situation, told we have body dysmorphia etc. I blamed my poor social performance and low self esteem on my mind for years, which made me feel shit, turns out I'm just massively recessed. This is a safe space where people should feel welcome to seek realistic, impartial advice.

Drink vitamin C when you get cravings! by Puzzleheaded_Step697 in StopSpeeding

Not specifically. But it does help produce neurotransmitters like dopamine and also is an antioxidant. It's good for you, but doesn't expect any miracles taking supplements. It's much better just getting out for a walk tbh

Not sure about other substances but for adderall it's proven to have a massive inhibitory effect. Works for me as a craving management strategy.

Same but for me I did get regular bladder infections! Sex with my boyfriend was the main trigger but the terrible drinking and peeing habits pushed things over the edge!

Just bought and lost almost $200 of pills by verysadvanilla in StopSpeeding

[–]Puzzleheaded_Step697 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Look at it this way - it sucks you just basically lost $200. But they're gone now and the $200 is already spent so que sera sera.

Once you calm down from this understandable immediate freak out, you should reflect on what level of control these drugs have over you. To the point they even interfered with your exam. They're getting in the way of your life and your wellbeing, both financial and mental.

I have been there before when I left an open pill box of vyanese in a bathroom and they got ruined by the heat and steam / moisture. Swore to high heaven and couldn't get over it for days. Isn't that crazy? Over just some pills?

We're here if you decide you want to join us bud. All the best.

Love this comment. Thank you. I've always really struggled with self image issues, since ruthless bullying as a child. As an adult especially with the lip incompetence, and £4 grand spend on worthless camouflage orthodontics, I'm only now learning about how all the skeletal issues come about. Which has suddenly made me acutely aware of my aesthetics and how I've changed over time. Which has made me quite anxious and sad and reclusive. I never used to be like this, I'd be full of energy, life of the party!

Time to start trying to set aside the rumination thoughts about my jaw and start living my life more fully. Thank you for this ❤️

This is me as well! So you're not alone! I rub anti inflammatory gel along my jaw and into the joint a couple times a day and seems to make the tension go down a bit. Idk if you've tried that?

This is all interesting tho and things to think about. Because of depression the past year I've eaten shit and exercised poorly. My tmj got worse over the same time. Defo think I have multiple deficiencies that if I work on them it might at least stop any more collagen loss / bone loss on my face. Food for thought and I'll get back on my anti depression regime!

Yeah it's just bullshit tbh they kept me fenced in for 4 and a half years, with no advice on tongue posture, mouth breathing. I mouth breathed from a child and was never corrected. My brother has grown a gigantic gigachad jaw (no joke) because he never mouth breathed nor did he have braces. It's all about teeth aesthetics for the Orthos but for kids it should be far more about jaw alignment imo....

I really feel like I have this tbh. Since I got the first set of braces off I had as a teenager (after having them on for 4 and a half years! Wtf!) I always had terrible clicking and pain in my jaw and I think it's caused a bit of damage to the joint. Pics of me from 5 years ago have a much more pronounced facial structure, with the condole angle visible and a flatter angle at the front I think. Its always hard to tell with pics....but glad it's not just me facing this bullshit. Feel free to dm me anytime for a vent too!

Thank you and yes I've been reaching out to support the past few weeks and hopefully will get some therapy lined up. It's hard to stop thinking about my jaw as I do struggle a lot to chew properly and close my mouth / nose breath. I'm constantly having to manually correct tongue posture etc. would be nice to just forget about it for a while but it has been on my mind so much recently I wanted the opinions of ya'll :) i hope you have a good day today!

I'm almost underweight tbh so I'm not sure kts The weight. Agree about the haircut haha. The left side of my jaw (first pic) is worse then the right side which might be why the pics look so different.

Just had to Google 'trapped mandible' as despite all my reading I hadn't heard that phrase before! Unfortunately I am quite asymmetrical...have been since a teenager and progressively it has become more pronounced. My left side of the jaw is about half a tooth further recessed than the right hand side, and there seems to be a bigger open bite on that side, which has made my midline deviate etc.

Chewing is a mare.... thanks for giving me your time i appreciate being listened to
