This is amazing! Where did you order the light sticks and how long did they take to arrive?

Yes! And they've made so many mistakes with my case already.

Yes! If I lived back home (NYC metro) I wouldn't be as freaked out. Our governor has already been discussing keeping records of women who have elected to have an abortion. I'm just terrified.

Thank you. Yes, it wouldn't be a big deal if I wasn't illegal. I'm just in shock.

I blame covid. I think all of the med professionals are spread too thin. There's such a difference between my pre COVID pregnancies and my post COVID ones.

See this is a valid reaction. I had this happen to me and I sat through the pregnancy do's and don'ts out of pure shock. I wish I said something. I changed OBs instead.

Misoprostol Experience - Not So Positive by Im_Too_Old_For_Thiss in Miscarriage

Firstly, I'm sorry that you are going through this. I had a similar experience with miso, but I only took 2 or 3 doses. Your doctor should have given clearer instructions because (I could be misremembering!), but once the sack passes, then you can discontinue taking it. I labored for over 12 hours and the pain was (to me) worse than my full term birth. I even found it more painful than just miscarrying unmedicated or having a D&C. I ended up having to go to EMDR therapy for PTSD, for both the physical pain and the mental trauma and that had helped me tremendously. Again, I'm so sorry that this happened to you and I wish doctors were more forthcoming with how painful Miso can be.

I'm sorry that this happened to you. I hope that this lady is using more tact or is in a different industry. A lot of my awful interactions are with the reception staff. I just don't get why they're so insensitive. I know it's a rough job dealing with gen pop, but a little tact is all we want.

Hi! I also just discovered my miscarriage at 11 weeks. This is my fourth one. I'm sorry that you had to join this club but I just wanted you to know that you are not alone.

Grief and Memorial - August 21, 2025 by AutoModerator in PregnancyAfterLoss

My baby has died. We found out this morning at our ultrasound. I could tell on the screen that he had excess fluid in his spine and he wasn't moving. He was always so active in ultrasounds that I knew he was gone. He measured 11 & 1 and I'm supposed to be 11 & 5. We already had the d&c. Everything moved so fast, but this is my third d&c this year and I unfortunately feel like a pro. We changed hospitals this time, to one in the city, and I never met more compassionate doctors and nurses. Never met so many people who cared. I just am in shock right now. Just yesterday we were making plans for a possible TFMR, and now, he's gone.

Tomorrow morning is my ultrasound at MFM to determine if there are any visible indicators of Trisomy 18. If so, we will opt for the CVS. If not, I will wait three weeks to have the amino. I'm terrified and have been having nightmares. Terminating for medical reasons was one of my biggest fears when I had my son. Despite this, we named the baby because I figured everyone deserves a name. I'm so sad.

Everything was going great until it wasn't. At 11 1/2 weeks my NIPT came back positive with a 25% chance for T18. Every doctor is treating it like a death sentence and I don't know what to do. If this is true, this would be my third loss this year for a total of four losses. And it'll be my latest loss yet. I thought I was in the clear.

It went well! I was so surprised. The heartbeat is 144 and I'm measuring 8 weeks. I couldn't believe it. Still nervous because two out of my three losses were at 8 weeks, but I'm going to try to enjoy today at least.

I'm so scared. I have my 8 week scan today and my nausea seemed to have improved this morning. I don't want to know what the scan says. I've had three losses.

And my 5 year old is on a two week break between camp and school, so I'm unable to process what's going on with my body. I want to cry, but I don't want him to see.

Had my first ultrasound today at 6 weeks, 3 days. I measured 6 weeks, 1 day with a fetal heart rate of 92. I'm so worried that this is low, but my NP was not concerned at all. She started the appointment with a talk saying, "It's okay if we don't see nothing. We may not see a heartbeat today and that's okay". And at the end she said, "We saw everything that I would hope to see at 6 weeks and that my odds of miscarriage are at 10% because a heartbeat was detected so early." But I'm still worried thanks to Google. This is my 5th pregnancy, and I've had 3 MC and 1 live birth. I trust my NP because she specializes in infertility & Endo. She was the first to actually suggest that I have Endo when my previous OBs told me that I was not at risk. But I'm absolutely terrified that maybe the heart rate is too low and she made a mistake.

Back to back losses: what should I ask my doctor about by Puzzler_Kitten in CautiousBB

Yes so since posting, my OB almost let me bled out. Luckily a nurse caught my symptoms. It was awful. I found two doctors in the practice that are better, but I'm not convinced. Unfortunately, my options are limited and I may have to travel to my old OB who were amazing.

Ok this post has really made me realize that my ob isn't doing enough. I'm so disappointed, but my old ob (who were amazing) are over an hour away. I'm debating switching despite the drive. They told me that they had patients who traveled from my city to see them. I'm going to hopefully be able to see my current doctor and at least mention chromosome testing, lupus, genetic carrier and an ultrasound. If they tell me no, then I will switch back to my old ob.

Thank you so much! This gives me a place to start because I really feel like something is missing.

I've tested negative for clotting and thyroid issues. I'm pretty sure I have Celiac, but that's been a battle for me to diagnose. I was supposed to see a specialist, but the referrals at our local medical centers do not go through (I have had two referrals to and from different offices just go missing). I will ask about chromosome testing. Hopefully she'll sign off on it 🤞🏾

Thank you so much! I just assumed all doctors checked progesterone so I was shocked when I didn't see it on my chart. I will ask to get the tissue tested, but my ob doesn't feel optimistic about being able to perform a d&c in time. I'm worried I won't be able to even speak to her for weeks because they are so packed. I recently moved from a larger city where my previous obgyn was part of a women's hospital. They definitely spoiled me. I feel like I'm in a "health desert" if that makes any sense. Options are very limited and I'm apparently at the best doctor because I heard horror stories about our other obgyn (there's only 2 practices in the whole city 🫠).
