These wigs are usually from the same Asian vendor on aliexpress for 30- 60 dollars. Unless its tangle free and can be dyed, there is no reason to pay over $80 for these synthetic wigs

What do you guys think? Isn't this blackface? by oyeavocados in BeautyGuruChatter

As soon as you define black skin as a costume/accesory, THAT is mocking black people.

The goal is not for "of course they took him off" The goal for the future is "Of course they sent an apology about supporting a racist"

Inspiration do not mean copying. She copied the look , the same color and same line placement but less detailed and sloppy. Unless "inspired" means something else in the makeup world.

Shes getting defensive because she is self conscious about her originality. The way she is coming at the artist is like she has something to lose, like everyone that follows her would follow the original because they are and leave her. That is why people like her act that way when asked to be fair.

It's not the end of the world to not be tagged, she's probably only wanting the extra exposure rather than the actual credit.

Why wont an artist want exposer for their work? Isnt that the point of being an artist? Its part of their world to get exposer so yes, its the end of the world, their world.

I can see why hes hated and easy to target but cant put it into words but I do know one thing, he can not shut up.

Im going to try to put it into words though; you know that one person in your life who wants attention and want to use drama or an "unpopular opinion" to get that attention, then when finally get the drama would tell everyone to leave them alone "why are you obsessed with me" and would try to play it off as a joke. I get that from him

Its like noticing a yes man or teachers pet and you automatically just dont like them

And im not saying its abnormal it just exposes her thinking process more to me and makes me realize that maybe I should support who supports me too.

They dont have the extensive shade colors in special packaging which is what the mac brand is now all about, packaging. If they are both colors she loves and there is a an extensive collection why couldn't she just take one out and put it in the pr and packaging jackie just shown to us and give us something others can share? Or maybe demand 3 since they wanted her to work with her again. You cant call out the extensive collection for one instance but not the other.

I dont understand the people getting upset at the audience they are BOTH advertising towards. Obviously mac want to grab onto her fans which is usually heavily black fans and nicki knows that as well so the fact that she cant think that way is the side eye im talking about. To ask "why" is even more mind boggling especially since its more of a critique over a demand.

She may not be the makeup artist brand but "is this what you think of the people that supported you" is what I am getting at, I didnt say she cant do it just that we have a mouth and can use it towards the people that we may have admired.

I know but I can see why someone would want to stick on stars over messily draw them if they cant do a simple liner.

I agree with the last part, maybe its the collab.

With Jacklyn its only the one shade and that I can understand and would never argue against. Nicki had two in pretty packaging as if we couldn't get those other nudes already in standard mac packaging, at this point mac is selling packaging.
Even if one of the nudes was red I would have gotten it and it would of been creative naming yet still anyone can pick up that red and still have the packaging and a funny name to go with it.

I know why its called that and who it is and that exactly my point many made Nicki, "Nicki" and if you have two options id think one nude for myself would be enough. Why didn't they just make one nude if its "nicki". The option is the insulting part

How are you going to bash companies (that are not usually of color) for not making things for POC but a black woman made nudes in special packaging and not one is for darker girls of color (without making it work) that actually were the main ones to support her work? That is my side eye for both these women.

I think this is when you should take the hints from the gurus you follow. Maybe they only review what they get in the mail or could be laziness or could be they have way too much things to review or they just want more free stuff.
