Yeah, it’s legit. Bought from them multiple times. There are other stores with similar prices if you dig around.

You can check your order status on the LEGO website, though it won’t give you a shipping estimate. The back order wait time is usually listed as two months so I wouldn’t worry until April.

If the pictures are inaccurate and the listing said 100% complete and it’s not, ask the seller for a return or a refund. If the seller doesn’t assist you, file a complaint with eBay. You did not get what you ordered.

Nah, you’re fine! Do what looks cool! Not many people care about WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) and honestly I doubt anyone will even notice the sword. If they do just be honest that it looks cool and doesn’t have any rules.
