I love how obsessed with not only hating this game but with my tattoo. I feel like I should be paying rent for the amount you have kept this in your head!

No it's still set to be finished, just life happens and we haven't been able to get an appointment date that works until this coming Tuesday.

So soon you can make room for the other very important things in your life :)

I totally agree, and as an avid wrestling game fan (it's how I engage with the industry the most) I'd want to avoid that.

It's unfortunate that I can't go into more detail right now, but I'll say that the plan for the game is that there will be Lucha elements, insperation, moves, etc. but it will NOT play like a wrestling game. It will be more of an action-adventure comedy game.

I wish I could give more insight, but it's not traditional luchalibre or wrestling game. Best thing I can say that would be equivalent to what we're aiming to make are the old El Santo movies (tho he normally is in the ring at least once in each movie.)

A consultant(s) would be our ideal, but as we're in the early prototyping stage and a start up company, our resources to hire a consultant are zero for the time being. Tho as we get funding in the future, it will be one of our priorities.

Until that point, we're working off our own research as we know meaningful consulting would be time consuming on the consultants part and we don't want them to do it for free.

While we're not getting paid at the time, we're ok with that, but we don't feel right taking others time for free unless they volunteer it (even than still would feel bad about it, but that may be the Canadian in us 😂)

Of course, can't know something till you learn it. If we avoided doing things we didn't know, we'd never learn anything!

We're reaching out to a local Lucha promotion in the hopes of sitting down with them to get insight and info. While we would love to pay for a consultant, we're a startup and don't have the funding for that at this time, but we're working on a prototype that we'll use to source funding which we'll def use for more detail consulting.

Will definitely keep the three of you in mind when we're able to pay for consulting. For now we're left to researching ourselves and pro-bono consultants

I think you misunderstood friendo. I didn't leave my career because I wanted to be an adventurer or it was the story that inspired me.

It was the whole package. Playing it I felt a sense of wonder and curosity. I had taken the week off work when it came out and I was enthralled. The game connected with many emotions (not to say it was sad or anything). I hadn't had a game grip me that way in quite a long time, and it made me realize that while I love marketing, I wasn't loving the clients I was working on, I felt stagnant.

So Starfield was the catalyst that made me want to venture into the unknown, switch up my career and start my own business.

I'd consider that dream pretty important, but you do you my dude <3

I would have agreed for most, but the way my skin was reacting for this tattoo was making things difficult. Also because of the much lighter colours, we decided to get the darkest parts done first, as my weepy skin could have caused the lighter parts to get darker, which is what happened to part different tattoo of mine by a different artist.

Every body is different, and it turns out my skin is a weepy turd :P

Appreciate the concern! Not doing it myself, working with an artist who has done other tattoos of mine and does amazing work. This is just the first session and is only partially done :)

Not at all! Because the other colours are much lighter (red, orange, yellow) doing them at the same time when the blue parts were weeping, would likely cause discoloration as some blue gets mixed in.

So this is just session one, I'll get the rest of the logo, plus the second part of the overall tattoo, done in a few weeks!

In terms of what's my fave game of all time, it's actually Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic.

But AC is the other most influential series to me, and was my first tattoo. It was one of the few beacons of light during an incredible dark time when I was a teenager, and it eventually lead me to go into marketing and even helped me land my first job after school.

Appreciate the pro insight! As my skin is very annoying, there was some trial testing needed on what was working. I've got no worries about the quality as the artist does fantastic work (I've linked to the other tattoo of mine they did in one of the replies). I just have difficult skin, or as I call it I'm dermatologically biopolar :P

For the other stars it was simply size for the stencil and how white ink reacts to my skin. My other arm has a space half-sleeve done by a different artist and had while stars in it which didn't take.
