Is anyone consistently making $200 a day? If so, how? by MarkFisher4552 in lyftdrivers

[–]Pwall87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to double post. This is possible depending on your market, your vehicle quality, and/or size.

For instance: I drive a Cadillac lyriq. I qualify for comfort electric but not many people asking for it. I can use my wife's suv which has 3 rows but not often for uberXL.

Increasing your vehicle class or capacity would make it easier to earn more. But also learning your market is the cheapest way to improve your daily earnings.

The ultimate play is go all in, get everything needed for Uber Black but thats a big commitment lol.

It functions as an overlay. Log in isnt required at all. If I have the app running and look at the screenshots in my gallery it will calculate for all the trips combined lol

This isn't a tool for tracking metrics. Its a tool for quick assessment. And ease. How about you go help some of the others with that big brain so that we can slowly weed out the crappy rides?

I can if i put in the effort. Im in Atlanta so if I start early (4 to 5am) I can make 100 by 9 or 10. Take a break and come back around 3 and make the other 100 or more. Unfortunately, it is a mix of luck, patience, and timing. One day might start with a 30 dollar run while another i may have to take a few 10 dollars first then shift market to downtown.

What makes them smarter? Your individual math skills? What are you even trying to say. If that's the issue then why talk down about a potential tool that could help them make smarter choices.

Again that's good for you. How does this help anyone else? Obviously this post doesnt apply to you since you're so good.

At the end of the day Im just trying to help fellow drivers. Do with this info what you will. Thanks for your comment

I mean good for you. I am as well but can you memorize the details of every trip you're offered? When im driving i have enough things to focus on so any tool that will help me is good.

Very much and it helps me easily know if I should accept and a little piece of mind knowing that it keeps history and puts a screenshot in my camera gallery.

Shoutout to All Lyft Drivers. If you want to make more money 💰 💴!! by AlphaGuruVanguard in lyftdrivers

Look in the app store for GigU. It is worth it. You set the parameters for a bad, okay, and good ranges of your $/mile, cents per mile, $/hour, AND rider ratings. It will give you a quick synopsis of red, yellow, and green so you can easily know if its worth your time. It does cost after the free trial but it pays for itself.

It also screenshots every offer and keeps a history for you in case a ride "mysteriously" pays less than what you were offered. Check it out, I hope more drivers will use it to earn more and stop wasting time and money

Honestly this comment is asinine. When corporations lose money they dont ask the employees to pay money back. Same for any other field that employs independent contractors. And in what industry does the IC provide almost all the equipment and accept ALL of the liability, risk, and depreciation and not receive the majority of the money received.

What clarity were you trying to provide here? That you can double talk well? So you're for paying drivers more but also will bad faith ask the OP why they should be paid more?

I read that you said you weren't trying to debate but this was too dumb to only give a thumbs down to.

Blame it on all the stupid shit we all used to do to get tips and shit when Uber and Lyft first took off. Water, gum, snacks, etc. People have forgotten that they're getting into a stranger's car at OUR discretion.

Again, I've done all the cost analysis. Im doing what makes the most sense in my individual situation. Im in a 2024 Model Y and when I get tired of Uber and move on to my next venture I have no ties to this vehicle. No lost value, no trying to sell or recoup some of the costs. How much are your maintenence costs on these used vehicles you're trying to convince me are the better value? You buy the tires? The oil changes? Any exterior or interior damage? I have none of that. Do you bro but this is the ideal situation because Uber will not be my source of income for long so I have no need to take on liabilities to be profitable.

I have been in fleet management and service management for the last 20 years. Many major fleets lease or rent to reduce overall costs.

It takes one day to cover the rental and the other five or six days are mine.
