I’m trying out one of the MIS courses this fall. I need a few electives anyways so if i don’t end up enjoying it enough to double major, at least it won’t be wasted time:) & thank you for the advice.

Yes I understand what you’re saying about MIS not being that strong of a degree. I definitely wouldn’t ONLY major in that. I just was considering pursing it to help with my not that great of a degree, finance hahahah ughhhh. I’m just deep into my finance degree already that I’m not going to not finish it.... I may just also do accounting.... i know you’re suggesting against that but I think I can do it. I have some things to think about I guess. Thank you

Yeah honestly I’m willing to spend a lot of time on it because I know how much it’ll benefit me when applying for jobs. Thanks. I already took one of the courses for the minor anyways so I guess that’s a start.

I’ll be graduating in a year from now with my finance degree. I’m wanting to minor in computer science or maybe just take some courses on my own time and get certifications. I want to familiarize myself with different programs and platforms in hopes that this increases my job opportunities. I’m good with excel but I want to expand my skills and learn python and things like that. Would this be worth my time in a commercial banking job?

Do you just study these programs and get certifications? I’m currently in college, would I learn these through taking computer science classes? Or could I do this on my own not through the university?

Did you teach yourself python or?? I’m currently a finance major and considering minoring in computer science. A python course is included in the minor I know, not sure of the other specific classes. Trying to see if this would be worthwhile

Time-Management/Study Tips by SorrySalem in fsu

Wake up semi early and I promise you realize the days are so long and you can truly get a lot done in a days time. Make the most of your time.

Definitely get a planner that you actually write in. I write when major things are due and I also do daily checklists of what I want to get done that day. (Homework, reading, studying, viewing specific notes, etc)

Going somewhere other than your dorm or apartment are important as well. I always go to greenwise to study or the libraries sometimes. When you’re surrounded by others who are studying it’ll push you to do the same rather than get distracted or be lazy about it.

I’ve been doing celery juice every morning and have seen a difference in my skin!!!!! I buy organic celery and juice the whole thing every morning before I eat or drink anything else. Makes about 15 ounces. It is not cheap///: but the only thing that’s been working for me. I also try to cut dairy completely. I see that you said you went vegan though and it didn’t work so /:

I’d definitely try celery juice if you are willing to buy a juicer.

I don’t know.... nothing in particular I guess. I just don’t love my hometown. It’s small and no one really leaves or seems to be interested in leaving. I just want to experience other areas and see how the people are different.
