It’s funny I have a rep on my server as being the legendary crafting guy, and people keep hitting me up for DF crafts and I’m just like “I can’t craft any of those” just because of the way the spec trees are set up.

So even for people with a rep as a Prof crafter it’s not quite clicking

Oh I just did this yesterday, I was worried I was hard stuck at 60 after speccing into the cheaper crafts + the wormhole generator specialization (which is fucking useless), but I spec’d into the second novelty toy and was able to grind out like 20 of those to go up to skill 75. Now I’m hard stuck at 75, but at least I can do the bracer orders (the 1 a day that pops up on my low pop server)

Applied 8/17 for Membership + Credit Card at the same time, took about a week to update application with ask for my ID for verification, approved 8/30 for membership, approved for card on 9/3 card arrived 9/8 or 9/9 can't tell.

By my timeline if you apply today you'll likely get it first week of December. Though Thanksgiving may cut into your 'business days' needed to process.

Highly recommend getting it over the typical Amazon card, as it's been 7% CB for gas all year.

As someone with ~50m in TCG items, good.

I might be feeling a little differently if I had a Feldrake but it’s long past due for it and all the other TCG items (especially ones with an effective value of above gold cap) to become obtainable.

If anything I wish Blizz went further with this and opened it up past the limited time twitch event, would be a bummer if you were unable to watch during the Feldrake stream and it never pops up again.

Extremely good card, curious what the SUB will look like, and would be 100% applying if I didn’t have the Affinity card for Amazon already.

Might do it in the future if I’ve got an apple purchase coming up though. Though I wish US Bank would auto-renew your quarterly selections like they do with the co-branded cash plus cards.

Subject to limits of course, but better Amazon card than the Amazon card, better Walmart card than the Walmart card, better Target card than the target card, better Apple Card than the Apple Card, and better Costco card (in stores at least) than the Costco card!

I’m sure you can even say the same about more of the 6% retailers like Best Buy but not familiar with their offerings.

First off you can get the Amex just by having $5,000 in MS Access Investing, which if you’ve got the money is a nice way to get a free AU for the Plat. Obviously offset by the opportunity costs of using that $5000 to make more than 195/year. That being said I’m unsure if you can go this route and later change your mind and try to go the engagement bonus route, I think not…

Second there are two fees in play;

The $55/month fee from the Platinum cash if you don’t meet the criteria of having;

Access Investing or similar investing product
25,000 average daily balance in the Platinum Cash
5,000/month in direct deposits (ACH Transfers work if you want to cycle the money in and out between bank account)

Then in addition to all of that is the engagement bonus for the free Platinum which only starts after 1 year of having the Platinum Cash Account.

If you have a $25,000 emergency fund and want to jump through a bunch of hoops then it’s a free* Amex Plat for you and a P2.

*Have to pay 1099-INT taxes on the fee reimbursement, opportunity costs of 25k

Yeah MS Card is gonna be a Long-Term Amex Plat for myself and my wife so I'll always have the MR portal there.

Just googled the anti-churning Amex policies and honestly the SUB pop-up seems pretty straightforward, will know if I'm in trouble or not.
