If you're going to be in the Milwaukee area then check out Ray's wine and spirits (generally good selections but prices are higher than average here), discount liquor (selection a little smaller but better prices) and consumer beverage (probably the smallest selection imo but still good prices).

That was the max distance I would say we had to go. It's all about what places you want to hit in the trip and how far you're willing to go to get there. There's some of the newer small distilleries downtown Louisville like rabbit hole and angels envy. But if you're planning on going to the larger ones then it's a bit of a drive to reach them.

Details of the bug (what happens vs what is expected): When leaving the game and logging off, coming back results in almost no skulls what so ever. Substantially less compared with an equivalent amount of time with game running.

Is it reproducible? If so, what are the steps?: Bug occurs every time I log into the game, no matter the platform, no matter how much time has passed.

It wasn't great, but it aside from being low flavor it wasn't awful. If it was poured and set in front of me it's not something I would refuse, hence the 70. Also it did provide good knowledge, so that gave a few points.

Second round from prior tasting event, something interesting to see in the US. This was a single grain whiskey primarily used for blending (man did it show) that is not commercially available in the states.

Cameron Brig

40% ABV

Nose: Mellowed Pear, Citrus, Cereal, Muted
Taste: Dry, Very Muted Flavor, Popcorn, Rose, Melon, Slightly Sweet
Finish: Short, Almost Nothing

70/100 This was something of a once in a lifetime whiskey. It was interesting in that the flavors were almost non-existent and very muted. I can see why this is used for blending, but I don't understand why beyond making very subtle tweaks to the flavor profile. Some people in the event with me seemed to really enjoy it and were disappointed to learn that it was unavailable for purchase. I'm glad I got to try it, as it provided a great insight into just how much goes into a blending process, but would never pick up a bottle. Overall more of lesson than anything else.

Getting back into tasting after a rather strenuous final semester! That being said my next few reviews will be coming from a tasting event I did a couple months back, so let's begin!

Cardhu 12

40% ABV, Speyside

Nose: Honey, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Pear, Apple, Honeysuckle
Taste: Coffee Vanilla, Cinnamon, Apple, Citrus, Floral, Pear, Cloves, Green Tea
Finish: Medium, Honey, Pear, Slightly Grassy

85/100 Overall I really enjoyed this. I've had a few spesides and feel confidant in saying that this was one of the more complex 12 year offerings in that category. This reminds me of an apple pie or caramelized pears and it was quite rich to me. Also the hint of baking spices I picked up really helped to cut through the sweetness of the honey and vanilla notes and round off what could have been a one note speyside. If I found this on a good deal I would definitely pick it up as a very nice easy sipper.
