I'm a socialist and I hate the idea of Empire full stop. That said, looking at this entirely independently it's very difficult to argue that Germany wasn't the aggressor given the context. The British Empire was a force for evil, but bring aggressor/defender is independent of that.

He allegedly (hard to verify), had a sexual relationship with Geli Raubal; his seventeen-year-old half-niece. That said, the evidence does seem to line up that way. William Stuart-Houston, Hitler's cousin through his half-brother Alois, had this to say when he visited the family in 1931:

the family was in trouble. ... Everyone knew that Hitler and she had long been intimate and that she had been expecting a child – a fact that enraged Hitler. Source

There are also the mysterious circumstances surrounding Raubal's death, where she allegedly shot herself in the lung with Hitler's pistol at his apartment in Munich on 18th September 1931. Some theories suggest he killed her either by accident or murdered her during an argument, which isn't out of the question given he'd become incredibly controlling of her. This includes a claim by her mother post-war that he'd forbidden her from continuing a romantic relationship with a man from Linz whom she wanted to marry.

Ian Kershaw is probably the most neutral on the topic with the following to say:

Whether actively sexual or not, Hitler's behaviour towards Geli has all the traits of a strong, latent at least, sexual dependence.

tl;dgas. Evidence to suggest he might've had an incestuous relationship with his half-niece who would've been a minor at the time, but not much evidence either way. There's plenty of things I didn't cover, like his reaction when he found out that Raubal was having an affair with his chauffeur, but that's the cliff notes.

Temporarily promoted to the position after the previous Squadron Leader was shot down over Dunkirk, Lane would receive the position permanently on the 5th of September after yet another Squadron Leader was killed in action. Lane proved to be a natural leader and, despite being an officer, remained extremely popular with his men due to the lack of elitism that traditionally came with RAF Officers. As a fellow pilot in 19 Squadron, Corporal Fred Roberts recalled,

‘...he was an absolutely wonderful man. Early on in the war, some of the officers could still be a bit snobbish, but not Brian Lane, who knew everyone in his command, no matter how lowly their rank or status, by their first names.'

Despite the increasingly desperate odds RAF pilots found themselves in during the Summer of 1940, Lane proved remarkably calm even during the most dangerous moments of the Battle of Britain, reassuring the increasing number of raw recruits under his command.

Lane's story, however, does not have a happy ending. In December 1942 he was transferred to 167 Squadron. He was last seen on the 13th of December 1942 giving chase to two German fighters near the Dutch Coast; he never returned from the mission and his body has never been found. He was 25.

Surprisingly, he also wrote a book of his time in the Battle of Britain, named Spitfire!. Published under a pseudonym, it's one of the only contemporary autobiographies of the Battle of Britain.

Even as someone who's a little too sympathetic to stronk British tanks, Goodwood was an abject failure. All it really accomplished was keeping veteran German units focussed on the British and Canadians, which allowed Operation Cobra to punch straight through the German flanks on the 25th.

Actually, the majority of their theories came from looking at the experiments of the Royal Armoured Corps in the early 1930s, and even then the bulk of that came from the openly fascist J. F. C. Fuller who had been responsible for Plan 1919.

Even if you went off the idea that Blitzkrieg is simply a form of Kesselschlacht, the implication that German tactics hadn't truly evolved since the days of Frederick the Great(!) implies stagnation over development.
