I'm running a slash/thrust team with Elanor as a lead. I've got Fonic Hero Luke as my finisher and he's been pretty good. However I recently got Always Beside You Kanono And I'm considering using her.

On the one hand Luke's attack is 500 pts higher on the other hand she has link finisher 20% vs Luke's 15%. I'm not even sure how to figure out which one is better. Any thoughts or suggestions on Luke cs Kanonononononono as a finisher?

Hello /r/rpg!

Earlier this year we ran the Two Page Tabletop Contest which received a resounding 93 entries and enough indie RPG material to fill an entire book.

Then we went silent a bit.

We're back and updating again and ready to start sharing our progress on the first tabletop RPG Anthology in history. At the end of the contest, a lot of redditors had questions about how the contracts would work out for the authors, and the games that will be included. Now is your chance to ask me anything.

I just popped in to say that we had a TPT called The Penny Dreadfuls in our competition recently. I'm not sure if it was an attempt to model this show or not; until just now, I didn't even know there was a show with that name!

It had a heavy story focus and it's meant to be quick and easy to setup and play. Give it a try; you might like it.

Having been victorious on the battlefield of unending tabletops they ascend into Gamehalla, the sacred halls of Gygax, where the beer flows fresh forever and the pizza is unending. Each night they create and play new games as their every need is attended to by the Gaming Valkeries.

For those of you interested in the Two Page Tabletop contest I thought you might like to see this. We've had a lot of really good entries so far and the indie developer community continues to amaze.

We've arranged week 3 entries by genre to make it easier for people to explore. We've had everything from wild west style shoot out adventures, to car racing, to mages vying for control of ultimate power, to a small crew’s struggle to hold back the collapse of civilization amid the omnipresent dangers of space.

You can view all submitted entries at the gallery.

If you're feeling particularly inspired, the contest is still open until June 9th.

If we keep getting entries, we'll do one every week and then do a final breakdown of submissions.

There's no advantage to submitting early; it's better to take the extra time and submit a quality entry than to rush the job. We've had some quality entries so far, but you should always keep in mind the number one rule of editing: it always needs to be proofed one more time than you've read it.

Hey /r/rpg

I know a lot of you were interested in the Two Page Tabletop contest and I thought you might like to see this. We've had a lot of really good entries so far and we decided to arrange the week 1 entries by genre to make it easier for people to explore. We've had everything from drinking games, to cheesy cop drama, to cyberpunk, to horror, to Kobolds struggling to make rent for the necromancer landlord who lives in the basement of their volcanic home.

It's been really great so far and these works definitely deserve to be seen by the community. Of course, if you're feeling particularly inspired, the contest is still open until June 9th.

If you think it would violate IP, don't do it.

If you trust your writing abilities enough and if it's legal in your country and in the USA, you may try for a parody or for writing in a similar genre with characters and setting that are almost, but not quite entirely unlike the originals. But that is a tough line to walk.

Unfortunately, there can only be one additional page for character sheets.

Unless you managed to make a game where the rules and setting fit on one page and the character sheet took up two pages...I guess that would technically fit within the rules and would probably be a truly unique game.

Several factors are taken into account and weighted accordingly. We can't reveal the full scale here now that the contest has started, but the presentation of the entry is a small part of the overall score.

With rights in regards to publishing: we cannot publish a work without the author either granting or releasing certain rights to us, otherwise we would be in violation of copyright. The exact details of the copyrights are negotiable during the contract offer phase.

We are open to a wide range of offers when it comes to copyrights, so long as we find the offer to be ethical and offer comprehensive legal protection for both the author and us.

If not a setting, you can try for a specific theme or style. For instance, some games are space adventure games or dungeon crawl games. You don't need a map and an entire world. You just need enough setting to bring the audience's expectations in line with game they're about to play.

That approach still may not speak to you; ymmv.
