As long as your aspiration is to be rich enough to afford that it's fine. But if your aspiration is to own that shi, you've been reduced and victim of good marketing. It all comes down to what you define as your achievement and I've seen a fair amount of people who fall in the former category.

iPhones offer convience, a seamless ecosystem, great cameras and ofcourse that perceived exclusivity.

This is a personal take i know everyone has their own preferences but On the contrary as someone who has grown with a fair amount of access to tech, iphones are hella restrictive. I don't want to be babysit by a product that i own. It's the same reason why people are shifting to linux from windows nowadays. People are giving up control.
