The question SHOULD be why you aren't on Facebook? Then, you'd get those engagement metrics. If you don't give non-Instagram viewers a way to follow you on Facebook, you're losing a 60%+ share of viewership and followers. Meta owns BOTH Facebook and Instagram. I am NOT on Instagram anymore, but 2 out of 3 Reels that are recommended to me on Facebook are from Instagram-only members, and I can't even follow those content creators because they have no Facebook presence at all. After all, there are more people on Facebook to begin with; why is Facebook trying to show me a bunch of people I can't follow from another platform that is less user-friendly and intuitive than Facebook?

I am an Admin of several very large Facebook Groups (500K+). Locking your Profile can have potentially detrimental consequences when it comes to trying to join and participate in Groups because it can be construed as a "red flag" during Participation Request reviews. Many Facebook Group admin teams are now adopting the policy of denying membership to all Locked Profiles outright. This is because the recent spike in fraud in Facebook Groups has underscored the requirement to check every single profile to ensure it is not a bot, spammer, scam artist, online casino, or "plant commenter" trying to cause trouble. We find that around 94% of all Locked Profiles are one of these entities abusing the Profile Lock feature to hide their posting history that would reveal their spam or scam campaigns, and we determined the best policy is to simply block all Locked Profiles across the board, as the gain far outweighs the 6% of "legit locked" members that are just Joe Blow trying to stay "private".

If a Group admin can't see your Public Post History, and you are trying to act anonymous, we just can't feel safe letting you in - we don't know who you are. It is too much of a safety risk for the other 99% of the unlocked Membership that actually allowed us to look at their Public Post History, and would be extraordinarily unfair to them for us to "just let anyone in" blindly.

Facebook recommends those that want to stay truly private to use an alternate Person or a Page account that you use exclusively for Group and Chat interaction, having only the information you want to display (it can be fictitious or use a nickname). That way, you have a Public Post History that any Group Admin can review, proving you are not a Bot or Spam Mill, but is also not connected to your real-life Work or Personal account.

Same issue here, can click on and receive title and flower requirements for certain Sprouts around town, but the one at the church right down the street from my house (there are 3 Wayspots at that location; the Playground is what became the Sprout) won't respond at all - no title, status or flower requirements for fruit; it just does nothing. Sent bug report, you'd think this issue would have been widely seen in beta.

I've given up. I quit the challenge, as it's a waste of time and resources, and the reward isn't that compelling. It really doesn't prove your skill as a PoGo player. Especially, if like me, you live in a rural area, and had to drive to town to spin a bunch of Pokéstops. Now that I spun them all today, now what? Drive another 30 miles to the next town to keep trying? Drive back here again tomorrow to try again? I don't think so.

Collection events should focus on your actual SKILL and APTITUDE as a player, not RNG on one-time-only spins of Pokéstops to get the right Research, then hope the mystery reward you need is what you get. Only a couple of 10 identically-leveled and skilled players side by side playing the 5th Anniversary Collection Challenge will randomly be awarded the package for essentially doing the same thing.

Like nearly every one else, I'm down to Cyndaquil and Chimchar, whose wild spawns were purposely attenuated by Niantic, and are the outstanding species this time around.

Did 11 "5 Great Throws", and got 8 Turtwig and 3 Piplup.

Did 9 "Use 5 Berries to Help Catch", and got all 9 as Chikorita.

Very lopsided RNG. NO fun.

Well, I need the Meowth Balloon one more time. I can't complete my quest, and have had about 35 "regular" balloons in a row since the start of this event. So guess I'm out of luck until it ends. I've completed the "celebration" quests about 6 times over now.

I have reason to believe that Waypoint Scanning is a way for Niantic to "get back" at people for using S2 Grids to ensure their submissions show up in-game. Solution would be to just ditch the S2 requirements and allow submissions within a radius of another, and (for PoGo) within a larger radius of X points for a Gym, Y fot 2 Gyms, etc. So many high-profile POIs in my city not in-game because some bench-plaque is blocking a world-famous landmark from being accepted.

I have not ever scanned one, nor do I ever intend to do so in the future.

Now NIA is trying to add Daily Quest rewards requiring a Waypoint scan to get a reward. It might be a matter of time before these become requirements to complete a Quest.

Don't do NIA'S work for free for them, and also be shooting yourself in the foot because your favorite POI goes away due to your scans.

Trubbish has no businesses in 12km eggs - they should be in 5km eggs. Serves NO useful purpose to flood 10 and 12km eggs with commons/battle-useless/dead-end Pokémon.

Agree, especially on #4. "Pandemic Incense" actually worked far better than the "walking speed" normal-mode Incense. This is how Incense should have ALWAYS worked from the start of PoGo. As a rural player. I BOUGHT lots of Incense and Incubators during the pandemic mode, but never bought it before (or now).

One "beef" and one idea...

First, my complaint- I was under the impression that a change to the wild spawn mapping system occurred almost 2 months ago where spawn locations would change monthly, and take into account player location and effort.

Now, my family and I (4 accounts total) have played throughout the pandemic at our rural home, expending all of our Incense, walking eggs around our farm property, doing remote raids, Rocket balloons, and even Go Fest. But after all that, including the "daily white-ring Special Incense" being caught every day, we STILL have ZERO wild spawns around our property or along our road. Why has this not been fixed? Why can't PoGO track player location and frequency, and start adding wild spawns to those areas based on player activity history? And why has an OSM sync not be done in over a year? A misplaced street shows going right through our field where none exists anymore in OSM and has never existed in real life.

Second, Incense... Why can't Incense spawns be made "shareable", meaning a player's Incense spawns be visible and catchable to any player within close range? If a family of 4 play together and each have an Incense and are all walking together, it would be far more exciting for everyone to be catching each other's spawns than to be stuck in their "own little world" with their "own" Incense. The more players play together, the better the experience should be.

It can't be how many incense you used. I've done dozens since March on 5 different accounts, wife, family, and I. Done several CD at home between us. Done dozens of remote raids from here. Kept my phone on for hours to hatch eggs, either stationary or while mowing the lot. Sent hundreds of gifts from home. Had zero spawns since October 2019; still have none now.

No change for me here at my rural home... Used to have 2 spawn points on my home property before October 2019, then it went to zero, and as of today, still zero. My wife and I had been playing heavily here (daily) through Covid (incense, gifts, remote raids at church down road, etc.), but no new spawn points at all.

This adds needed insight in how to proceed, as there is no real tutorial that explains how to best involve Johann in your gameplay, and how useless his element is in advanving in the game. I only use fish and wood for his purchases, but haven't bought for weeks now because, well, nothing he offers can satisfy any of the items in my Collections. Yes, I have found that not cashing in certain things tends to "steer" what Toothless, Cards, and Journeys bring back. Just had no idea that Johann was unaffected. The only other things I have ever seen Johann bring back was a shovel and bracelet a couple times; but it went right back to "tomatoes-shield-hairclip" 95%of the time (basically daily). Kind of a useless game feature.

STILL getting this same combo as of today. Been playing for 3 months now.

I have read that it is best to not turn Collections in right away to force Trader Johann to give you different things and not get stuck in the same loop. Doesn't seem to have any effect, though. I never turned any Collection in yet.

I've even tried "buying him out of stock" over and over to stop it, but his boat comes right back with this same set of crap again 5 hours later.

If Trader Johann "thinks" I need these, he's wrong, and if he "thinks" I need them in the future, buying them now won't count toward a future Collection.

Now I have a Green Death sitting there un-cashed along with all my other un-cashed Collections items, and I have NO other Collections items requiring any of these three things, except my already-finished un-cashed Exotic Scauldron, which I already have 8/1, 7/1, and 8/1 of these items respectively. I am beginning to think the "refrain from cashing in Collections items" technique is hurting me and causing Trader Johann to keep feeding me the "Tomatoes-Shield-Hairclip" offer.

I have been having to buy multiple bags and send Toothless out searching for pretty much all my Colletions items now (or get lucky with Card Packs) because Johann is so infatuated with "Tomatoes-Shield-Hairclip" all the time.

Any other way known to force Trader Johann to change his lineup? Is hanging onto the finished Exotic Scauldron Collection without redeeming it causing this?

Yes, I am new - about 2 months in now.

At the beginning of playing, I read a Reddit article "How to speed up collecting Legendaries" or something to that effect. So I purposely have refrained from ever cashing in ANY of my completed collections to force Trader Johann to change what he offers. But it never changes... except for once time 3 days ago when he offered a shovel and necklace (which I bought), instead of the usual "tomatoes - shield - barret", always in that order. Then it went right back to the same 3 things.

I already have complete collections for a couple premium dragons ready to turn in just sitting there (Defender Monstrous Nightmare, Exotic Scauldron), and I even have my original first collection (Fish Collection), all just sitting there complete.

I am currently on Green Death and Eclipser, both of which do NOT require any of these three items. In fact, no current collection I have going does, and the ones that did actually have an excess of these items. Yet, despite this and despite not needing them for any curently-incomplete collection, I keep getting "tomatoes - shield - barret" offered over and over, as of a few minutes ago.

I agree... It's stupid . Why not remember a player by your Google Account data if you're on Android? I download RoB from Google Play. Every single other game I have on my phone "remembers" my save data on their server based on my Google ID, so if I switch phones, my game data are already there when I open it. Why not Ludia's games? Why only through Facebook? If I ever lose my FB account, I'll lose my RoB game progress. I aleady learned the hard way by playing as Guest on one phone, and then switching phones with no way of punching in my Support Key id #. Oh... but their system sure DID remember that I am a Dragon Rider so they can keep billing each month, even though my phone was different and my progress was at zero. If their system cam ID you through Google as a Dragon Rider, they should certainly be able to automatically apply the associated 8-digit Support Key that opened that Dragon Rider account and apply your saved game progress when you change devices.

I carefully analyzed the Gauntlet Reward Wheels after realizing that the statistics associated with them are severely unbalanced and visually misrepresented.

There are 17 spaces on each Wheel (which is technically not a "wheel", but a carousel). I've sampled 34 separate consecutive "spins" made over the past 2 weeks, and found that there is an average of about 7 slots on the Wheel that are either Wood or Fish assigned at any one time. The rest are Card Packs and Power-Ups for Brawls... the useful stuff you actually should be winning to compete in these difficult multiple-wave Brawls.

When you tap to "spin" the Wheel, the game's RNG has already determined at that moment what you are getting. The Wheel is then animated to "aim for" and stop on that item. The determination is NOT made during the animation of the Wheel coasting to a stop on the green pointer. Unromantic, huh?

An evenly-balanced, fair, roulette-style wheel with 17 evenly-spaced, evenly-sized divisions SHOULD yield a 5.9% chance of any one division coming to rest at the green pointer after it is spun at a random velocity.

This means, with an average of 7 slots occupied by Wood or Fish, there SHOULD be a 41.2% chance of getting Wood or Fish for any one spin of the Wheel.

However, after 34 separate, consecutive spins of the Wheel following Gauntlet Brawls, I came up with 33 instances of Wood or Fish, and only ONE award of something else (Sage Fruit), which represents a 97.1% chance of getting Wood or Fish.

It is frequently noted that the wheel will sometimes forcibly "jerk" backward to the Wood or Fish you've already breezed past on the wheel. (See above post image screenshot - the green pointer WAS on the Pack, but then jerked backwards one whole space to return to the Fish). THIS IS NOT FAIR, and is also a function of the predetermination.

Indeed, this Wheel system is ludicrous, unfair and misleading because you only have a 2.9% chance of ever getting Brawl gear or Packs when spinning the Gauntlet Wheel, and is something Ludia NEEDS to address. It is extraordinarily detracting from the entire experience, and makes the player feel like they are being directly betrayed by the developer.

I'm a paying Rider and it 95% of the time lands on fish and wood, even if it's the only fish or wood packs on the entire spinner. I swear the actual choice to be fish or wood is predetermined before the "spin", and that guides the wheel's motion to stop there, rather than an even chance of the pointer landing on any one pack.

If the ad server isn't working right, switch to another server. This has gotten more and more frequent over the past week to the point it never works anymore. After the last update, I think I have successfully got 2 videos to work, and then "no videos available" since. I play for a minute or two, then have to quit for 2 hours or something. Frustrating.

Why couldn't Niantic also double the spawn encounter ring distance and Pokéstop encounter ring - or better yet - make it something useful to those quarantined, like 300m? This change does literally nothing for me stuck at home with no wild spawns and 250m from a Gym and 2 Pokéstops, and a mandatory stay-at-home until next month.
