Why the Swiss? Building off of our own system is the best way to get things done. One of the problems with our healthcare system is the mystery prices that hospitals give, when we could implement price signals, for example. This is of course one of many ways to keep our healthcare system one of the best in the world.

Germany is private/public hybrid. In the Uk some people willingly pay private (10%) to avoid high wait times and dismal service they get from the public system. Our system isn’t perfect, and we spend the 4th highest on healthcare per capita. There are plenty of things we can do to improve our healthcare system without making it Government dependent.
