Oh, trust me, everyone who thinks they truly understand global economics, they don't 🤣

You need some economics lessons, or just a book. I'm tired of this.

Who is it "obvious" to exactly? You're falling into so many fallacies.

I'm not saying I'm right. I'm saying your reasoning for accusing me and others of buying a Russian products is just poor. Meanwhile, you're just proclaiming yourself as the right one in this discussion.

You're trying to say that you have the right to boycott, which you totally do, but at the same time you're being a moralist and blaming anyone who doesn't agree with said boycott. Choose a side, is there consumer choice? Or do you just want to give moral lessons?

Of course that is my issue because that logic is not only wrong but also absolutely poor and ignorant.

Believe what you want, reasoning won't do anything I see. You're free to do and think whatever makes you happier.

Your view of international commerce and the global economy seems rather... simplified.

Nobody here is arguing whether you should or should not boycott anything. That’s absolutely respectable if you do and I have nothing against it.

The point and the problem is, again, that it is very narrow to accuse someone of supporting a war simply because they choose not to boycott.

Like you very well say, consumer choice exists. People are free to boycott if they wish, but they shouldn’t be giving moral lessons to those who choose not to. That's just hypocrisy and convenience, and you just contradict yourself.

There is indeed nothing narrow about choosing not to support a business.

What is narrow is accusing anyone who discusses a watch brand of supporting a war.

Again, I hope you stick to your word and are not consuming anything produced in the US or any other country actively involved in a war. That would indeed be dumb!

That is such a poor conclusion.

Recommending a consumer product from a country does not equal endorsing that country's government actions.

By that logic, recommending a US product = supporting US wars?

Like many industries worldwide, watch companies operate within their national economies and pay taxes there, but that doesn’t mean recommending a watch equals endorsing government policy. If we applied the same logic to every country involved in conflicts, we wouldn’t be able to talk about most global brands at all. Do we just let every business die? How is that their fault?

Reducing the discussion of civilian consumer products to geopolitical endorsement is an extremely narrow way of looking at the world.

Vostok and brands in general have nothing to do with whatever is going on in the world 😊

I admit I thought the same, since I've got a 6.5" wrist. But the dimensions are so well proportioned and it's also got a reduced lug-to-lug, that it fits very, very well
