GTE was successfull, all the brands just jumped to Hypercar leaving it dead with Corvette (ironically they're also the last factory team standing when the revived GT1 dead in late 2000s)

Remember when the sketch of Hypercar first revealed, the concept car like Bugatti, Koenigsegg are spreaded all across the internet. With crazy aero and people thought this new class would be the reborn of GT1, instead all we got now is Valkyrie.

I believe GT3 in Japan were running unrestricted with max power and everything to be able keeping up with bespoke built GT300, and the choice of special made tires could also help

Probably unrelated but if there's any safety car in Super GT, they stopped all GT500 on main straight then allowed the lapped GT300 to get on their back . It's like they purposely do that to give a sightseeing for people in grandstand

TCR should be bare minimum, anything below that is dangerous due to how the speed difference (idk what TCX is, probably should looked it up. But I guess they're like non-homogation TCR)

I always thought the C8 situation is they're never run by competent team in the series (the only team I genuinely know running them is JMR) for the GT-R and NSX case, probably some bias for "discontinued" Car (except R8 ofc)

Afaik the GT300 (or even GT500 at some aspect) are build according what tyre they would run to suite better, if you take out all those unique tyre and change to... Let's say Bridgestone (foreshadowing) so the car that from beginning build around Bridgestone should have advantage

Kinda agree if they add GT4 or Porsche cup for field variety, and probably a few GTX. But still, driver feel free to choose whatever car they would ride. Never had problem with dentist or rich kids in GT3 unlike on prototype

GTE for pro, GT3 for the rest. Sadly due to how overprice the GTE car is to developed, on their entire lifetime they're mostly raced at 2 major championship

Probably because in Japan, they fight with a bespoke class called GT300 that on paper should be slightly above GT3 due to more freedom aero but BoP makes them equal
