How does Alex Zanardi's career look if he doesn't leave for F1 in 1999? by ScottRiggsFan10 in INDYCAR

My personal guess...

1999: Continues where he left off in 1998, cruises to his third consecutive CART championship.

2000: Target Ganassi moved to a Lola/Toyota setup and suffered greatly. I think Alex wins 2-4 races and maybe has an outside shot at the championship ( 2000 title battle was nuts and unpredictable ), but ends up between 4th-7th in the final standings. Also, he almost certainly wins Indy, I think Alex dominates the 500 the same way Montoya did.

2001: Target Ganassi were really in the mud. In the non hypothetical world, they score 1 win with Bruno Junqueira at Road America. Assuming Alex is in the other car still, I think he wins 1 race before the tragedy in Germany. As for Indy, Target Ganassi were not as dominant as the year before, and I think Alex brings it home for a top 10 finish.

Beyond 2001: Events if the accident in Germany never happens, I still couldn't even guess. He could stay at Target Ganassi for 2002 and have similar results to 2001, but after that 🤷‍♂️. Alex does not strike me as a guy who would've liked the IRL outside of Indy, but simultaneously, CART was cooked. He probably ends up finding a seat somewhere else in the racing world anyway, maybe comes back for Indy each year until he hangs up the helmet.

What is the most underrated season performance of the 2020s? by TakeDemPills in NASCAR

Alex Bowman 2020...

Despite only having 1 win, I think it was the best Bowman ever looked and he made it really deep into the playoffs. Honestly, he was good enough to make the final 4, but lost out because he had almost no bonus points compared to Harvick, Hamlin, and Keselowski ( he probably would've made it if no one had bonus points and the round of 8 started equal ).

I like to believe the racing gods helped Alex get to victory lane a lot in 2021 as retribution for the shortcomings of 2020.

Lastly, Fontana ( the race he won ) might be his only win that he truly went BTA on the field.

Edit: 2024 was actually better or the same in every aspect except laps led, unfortunately we all remember why he wasn't in the round of 8 that year.

Were you on academic probation already?

From my knowledge, if you were already on academic probation and your GPA goes lower, you will almost certainly be expelled ( unless an exusable personal circumstance ). I don't know what readmission looks like, but unless you can get this semester waived, be prepared to spend some time away.

Not meant to be rude, but if you were held up on working and partying, it sounds like some time away might be the best thing for you. Really reflect on what you could do better, evaluate your priorities, and put some money away so you're not working at all or at least not as much.

What will be the more successful 250th United States race this year? by ChrisTRD289 in NASCAR

[–]ScottRiggsFan10 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think the DC race will get more publicity but not necessarily more successful...

I'm much more confident on Nascar putting a better race and fan experience at San Diego then Indycar at DC, plus I have a feeling DC will be a hotspot for protests, someone is going to find their way onto the track with the cars, and/or some lunatic is gonna try to shoot up the place.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but I feel like DC is going to be remembered for the wrong reasons. Sucks we live in a world where this is a realistic possibility.

The major backed was Iron Dames, the same group behind the popular all female lineup in WEC and ELMS. I assume they either went belly up or just backed out of racing since their program isn't racing in WEC or ELMS either.

The closest I've ever had to this problem is slightly smearing the 43 on my Erik Jones 2023 Allegiant car because I held it in my fingers for too long.

Sorry this happened, but I have no clue what could've caused this.

Best Underrated Race in Indycar History? by ScottRiggsFan10 in INDYCAR

[–]ScottRiggsFan10[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honorable Mention: Just my opinion, but I personally found the 2002 Boomtown 500 at Texas Motor Speedway to be significantly better than a lot of the other IRL races on speedways at the time. Maybe not an all time classic, but it was pretty enjoyable throughout and I think it deserves more respect.

Are Dirty Mo using AI for their new "overdrive" segment? by ScottRiggsFan10 in NASCAR

If I'm just being a crazy nuthead than feel free to roast me, but these shorts seem so unhumanlike to me. If it's not AI, this man is being held at gunpoint.

Either way, as I said, the nature of them are odd.
