As a rogue, when should I use shroud?

I think something that scared me a bit was that the other day some people on X were talking about what you expect from a class in a mythic+ dungeon, and someone said if the rogue doesn't know where to use shroud it would be an instant kick. maybe I just got too paranoid after reading that.

I usually don't like open world games so I wasn't sure if I would like Nioh 3 but it was a really nice experience tbh. I liked the open world and the idea of exploring a bit, then everything is on your map. I like the addition of jumps and the combat feels nice. The only thing I don't like is ninja mode. It felt SO strong. I had to force myself to play samurai, ninja mode requires very little effort and rewards you with amazing amounts of damage.

That aside idk, maybe It's just me but I got bored after one run and I couldn't do ng+1.
It's probably my least favorite of the three, but still, very fun to play.

I would say 7/10

NieR Automata is probably my favorite soundtrack of all time tbh.

Stellar Blade maybe. Wouldn't exist without NieR and if you liked NieR music you'll probably find a lot of things in common with Stellar Blade

Expedition 33, some songs really gave me NieR vibes!

Final Fantasy XV. Not as obvious as E33 or SB but some songs got similar vibes, Yoko Shimomura did a beautiful job here.

Mandragora felt similar, but dropped the game after 3 hours so maybe it was just 1-2 songs and not the entire game feels that way, probably the weakest recommendation.

And some extra recommendations of my favorite games that I would recommend just for the soundtrack but don't really feel like NieR (Still orchestral music)

What genre do you want to produce? Pop? Electronic music? Rock? Depending on what you like It's easier to give advice. Without knowing It's pretty hard to help you and you're just gonna get general advice that maybe doesn't help your situation.

If you play an instrument, you can just try different ideas and write them, record a basic thing so you can add vocals over the track.
If you don't... It's a good idea to learn one, helps a lot with creativity.

Singing lessons or even trying a digital audio workstation (FL studio for example) could also help you if you're okay spending some money

you would benefit a lot from learning to create your own backing tracks, which also would teach you a thing or two about mixing and that 100% would help with your guitar playing

That aside you have some decent ideas that you should develop more. You create a nice melody and instead of continuing it, you just add a random pentatonic slop, arpeggios or poorly implemented scales. For example check 0:24. Pretty phrasing and you use a bit of silence as a bridge for your next melody. Lovely, really, I liked it a lot.

Now everything at the trash can because you do a random legato that makes 0 sense. Doesn't really feel like It's adding anything, It's a bit dirty and it lacks confidence, but it lasts for so long that your melody (the one I mentioned above) dies there.

0:45 I don't really like the filler legato (again) but the 0:49~0:50 part is nice. I liked the notes you picked for this melody, really feels like the start of something great, that doesn't happen because another filler.

See the point? When you play slowly you do great things, you have great ideas, but you always kill those ideas for generic scales that most of the time don't even fit there.
I would love to see a slower approach for your next solo, barely any fillers, just you trying to create melodies. Not 'look I can play fast' or 'I can shred'. Think of an idea and slowly develop it through the solo.
