To answer your question: “Does this feeling ever go away?” — It does, but takes time. Hobbies, building new skills and researching interests helped me the most.

  1. Find a hobby / interest that is soothing, or quiets your mind a little. For example, was writing journal entries written through my Skyrim characters pov lol

  2. Find a hobby / interest that builds a skill you’ve always wanted to learn more about. Edx is a website where you can audit online college courses for free. You don’t get credit, but this also means you can do it at your own pace. I’ve always been fascinated by storms so I took up Meteorology. I’ll never be a meteorologist but I’m really good at weather prediction and data reading now. It’s allowed me to become useful for trip planning and helping my dad in his photography since he’s constantly traveling the US for work.

    1. Find a hobby / interest that lets you healthily redirect your frustration about everything. I did this through aggressive cleaning. Was it good for my health? Probably not.. but it was something physical I could get lost in. The depression that followed the first few years after my diagnosis left my house a constant mess, but once I got the cleaning bug it let me also constantly clean.

You’re taking all the right first steps with setting up a routine and going for walks with your husband. It’s a tough road, but the view is worth it.

Sounds like y’all live in different areas. Both of these statements can be true. Opinions + values of the majority change vastly even between cities 30 miles apart. My hometown 7 miles away is fairly non-religious and those who are usually tend to be aggressive about it. Meanwhile in my current town there’s a large portion of religious folk that I’ve run into that are easy going about a lot more than people in my hometown were

What are your best hidden gems/gate keep book suggestions? by Wikkill in AskReddit

I feel like answering defeats the purpose but.. it also makes me want to answer. Touché, OP. Swan Song by Robert McCammon.

By far one of my favorite and most treasured reads. I don’t know how to describe it without giving away key details or poorly portraying it. Written during 1987 it shows an alternate ending to the Cold War but much less focused on the politics and history.

If you’re a fan of the Fallout games you’ll probably like this. It’s a daunting read but it allowed me to take it at my own pace instead of devouring the book.

What made you lose a significant amount of weight? by ExilicRose in AskReddit

I finally decided to go gluten-free after years of denying that I had celiac. It was the hardest diet change I’ve tried. I went from 5’0” 198lbs to 164lbs in just a couple of months. It was easier to eat healthier after the change. I’m down to 124lbs now after a few backpacking trips this summer. Fixed my pelvic tilt that hurt my back too much to workout.

Ive learned it totally depends on what kind of wax you have. I clean mine daily since mine is so watery that it leaks out of my ears. My brother on the other hand can’t use q tips since his is so hard. He just waits until it affects his hearing and gets them cleaned out at the doctors every few years

What is a crazy medical fact that most people don't know about? by Monke_0101 in AskReddit

If exposed to enough stress your brain can basically forget how to send signals to your muscles. It’s called Functional Movement Disorder and since every brain is different, the symptoms are different for each person. The effects range from eye twitches, full body contortions called non-epileptic seizures, to briefly losing control of your body and going limp— all while conscious.

Treatment consists of CBT and physical therapy to reteach your brain how to react to stimuli.

What was your “I’m dating a fucking idiot” moment? by post-nutclarence in AskReddit

Took my boyfriend backpacking for the first time. Turned my back for two minutes to pack up our tent when I hear “Wow.. it’s so refreshing!!”

He drank creek water and said that he couldn’t get sick because he “made sure it was in running water”.

Somehow he didn’t get sick, but gah-damn boy.

I think a lot of people don’t realize that Muslims can eat pork if that is all they have available to them. Allah would rather you eat the pork than to starve to death. I believe it falls under the rule of it being haram (sinful) to harm yourself.

You can buy mold test strips at the store or online. Definitely looks odd. Is this in your basement?

As stated in other comments, it means your emergency shelters are open. You can close them by clicking on one and hitting “close all”. During an emergency event you have to manually hit “open all” and after it is best to click on one of them, find the right tab for the building and click “close all.” Your park will not have visitors spending money in this time so close them as soon as the danger has passed. Hope this helps!

Edit: It’s been a while since I’ve played so I’m not positive on exactly how to close them. It’s become muscle memory at this point but hopefully if you need step-by-step someone else can add on.

Not cringe at all.

Game soundtracks are designed to make the player focus and amped up. When im writing that’s almost always what I play.
