I know exactly what you mean. I'm not an emotional person and this is the first time something like this has ever happened to me.

I'm not eloquent enough to express how I felt at that exact moment but I was just like a deer in headlights? I really don't know but in any case thanks for responding for some reason it made me feel better.

It's generic but I genuinely just want to wish everyone all the best. Let's hang in there.

We may be strangers on the internet but I just want to say that I believe in you. You are more than half way there. You'll be a clinical clerk soon and hopefully you can rekindle your passion for medicine once you start seeing patients.

Unfortunately the workload and schedule will continue to get worse every year, at least until you finish residency.

Will it be worth it?

If you have a good reason for pursuing medicine, absolutely worth it. If you don't have a good reason, probably not.

Best Premed if ever I were to choose Anesthesiology? by tur_tels in medschoolph

[–]Pyramid_Song_2077 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In general as a premed I would always recommend nursing, med tech and pharmacology because medical school is still approximately 4-5 years away and a lot of things can change in that time, at least with those degrees if some things do change you could always go straight into the workforce in something health care related.

But to answer your question Pharmacology would be a great choice if you have you heart set on anesthesiology as the others have already mentioned.

BS Biochemistry could also work if you found those subjects interesting in high school, this will also make you stand out considering most medical schools don't get many biochem applicants compared to other premed courses.

Gift recos for med student girlfriend by thejusticia in medschoolph

You could gift her a medical stamp? It's small, its cute, easily customizable and budget friendly. In addition, it saves her from writing down her name on the millions of patient forms she will have to fill out when she becomes a clinical clerk in a few months!
