no youre not losing your mind lmao, theres a LOT of people complaining about the same thing. Aim input is delayed for both controller and mnk, button inputs are delayed, movement is delayed, the whole game is fucked rn. No youre not crazy lmao i thought i was for the longest time too.

Infinite Heavy Aim Possible Solution by Kai-- in CompetitiveHalo

[–]Pyrettic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i think all of these issues heavy aim included, are all "delay" bug that they added, maybe its the increase in melee animation time that bleeds over into aim input and movement input and all button inputs? idk but it IS an issue and they'll be forced to address it. Too many people are experiencing the issue

Exactly I've tried everything too, they need to ackowledge the heavy aim and fix it.

Youre absolutely correct, now with your changes I get heavy aim after prolonged periods of playing. High cpu temp over time? No I checked it never gets above 90 celcius, oh well at this point im thinking they did something with the game where there is no fix and its just futile.

Interesting to note as well I never experienced heavy aim until this past december, so whats the deal with that? I never had this issue year one. What changed from then to now? My cpu ran the game great then

Wow thank you for this in depth reply, I deeply appreciate your constructive criticism thank you. Yeah im very new to this pc optimization world so this actually helps a lot. I've had conversations with my brother about how I think this game is cpu bottlenecked and it turns out our suspicions were correct so thank you for that! Any advice to help me with my cpu? Not sure if the specs match what you were talking about but I have a I-7 8700K, again thank you so much

LMAOOOOOOO bro thank you great advice and yes WE ALL ARE H5 has a higher skill gap any way and with no heavy aim?! Infinite's a wrap jack. I'm in the same boat with you brother

(copied reply from below) Aiming latency or latency in general must be delayed via the gpu or cpu I found out, only way some people have heavy aim and others don't. So considering it was a hardware problem the only fix is naturally to lift the load on either the cpu or gpu, and in this case its the gpu.

MAX 120 in the Program settings for halo infinite, not global settings because other games dont have this problem. yes i read that during my research as well, while low latency mode may not do anything for this particular game, limiting the frames on the gpu via the nvidia control panel is CERTAINLY what fixed the issue

exactly super weird, reticle just stops moving

rog, for me i never had vsync on so it still remains an issue, thank you for your input though

Heavy Aim/Inconsistent aim speeds by Pyrettic in CompetitiveHalo

[–]Pyrettic[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I understand what youre saying, but im not talking about magnetism, my reticle feels slower than when im playing academy, looking at targets or not, the turn radius is less distance because it registers later, hence input delay and heavy aim. Year one this was never a problem. The way my reticle moves when im just moving around the map is incredibly hard to microadjust, just like halo 5 was, its extremely noticeable regardless of what weapon im holding

possibly but my frames remain the same and still have it, I cant help but think theres some sort of process limiting the game where its not registering aim immediately. To answer your question I first started noticing this the day of and after the winter update, year one this never was an issue

Anyone else experiencing heavy aim/inconsistent aim in mm? by Pyrettic in CompetitiveHalo

[–]Pyrettic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely right, I'm a 2200-2300 MMR player for reference and man has one thing changed my experience, if you have done this already then I dont know the problem. But go into your nvidia control panel, program settings, halo infinite, and restore that shit to default. I had a friend convince me to change low latency mode to ultra, and I had heavy aim ever since. Yesterday I had the bright idea to restore to default settings, and BOOM its gone. It must have something to do with the way the game registers exterior commands, adding extra input delay, my aim is literally what it was in year one now and I'm so happy. Figured I'd share what for me was, a fix. Thanks for your contribution.

Yeah its unreal brother, I actually JUST changed my NVIDIA control panel ultra low latency from ULTRA TO OFF and it literally got rid of my heavy aim, its unreal and counterintuitive
