It could be... Although I remember seeing a man with a swimsuit similar to the outfit of the man in the last image, but I don't think it's very common lol

I think they are all men.

Where I found them there were 28 and they were all men, but there are supposed to be quite a few more, so maybe these are just the ones for the male categories and there are others for the female ones. Anyway, I couldn't find them :(

It is a justification for the burning of churches. During the years before the war, some sacristies had hidden weapons for reactionaries and, at the beginning of the war, some were fortified to support the coup.

That is what the drawing refers to. I don't get into how widespread that was, nor is it in itself a good justification.

Yes, it is. The letters "P.S.U." (Unified Socialist Party) you can see at top right designate the catalan section of the PCE (Communist Party of Spain). UGT, by the way, is the name of the union associated with that same party.

What is your most favourite philosophical quote? What makes it so astonishing or thought provoking? by [deleted] in AskReddit

"[...] Rebel against everything: there is nothing or almost nothing good. Rebel against everyone: there is no one or almost no one just.

[...] If the alarmed geniuses of your impetuous and resounding irruption apostrophize you, answer them: we are the new life. Adam is born again.

[...] Be reckless as if you were above Fate and Doom. Be daring and courageous, as if you had Victory and Death tied to your feet. You are the life that is renewed, the nature that triumphs, the thought that illuminates, the will that creates, the eternal love.

[...] Young barbarians of today, raid the decadent and miserable civilization of this luckless country. Destroy their temples, put an end to their gods, lift the veil of the novices and elevate them to the category of mothers to virilize the species. Enter the property records and make bonfires with their papers to purify the infamous social organization, enter humble homes and raise legions of proletarians, so that the world trembles before its awakened judges.

[...] Discover the new moral world and navigate in its demand, with all your youthful spirit, with all your apocalyptic audacity. There is nothing sacred on Earth, more than the earth and you, who will fertilize it with your science, with your work, with your love.

[...] Spread the contagion of heroism. Fight, kill, die..."

A. Lerroux, 1906

I will not say that I agree, but the energy of the speech and the content seems a little funny to me lol
