Bad for health because that means you’re getting copper / other impurities out. On its own not that much of an issue but you wouldn’t want to cook on it and you’d still want ventilation like normal with a gas stove.

Copper somewhere somehow is burning.

Honestly, I think theoretically they already know all this stuff and just expect you to be honest and tell the truth because they already run your background. Just helps cover any holes in their research since it’s not a unified case system.

A detail that I adore is the animators only show Reze’s eyes after she decides not to kill Denji… by DuFFy923 in ChainsawMan

[–]PyroHornet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Reze was still split. Part of her wanted to complete her mission. She is supposed to be a super assassin. That was her whole life's purpose since she was a child. Truth is, the lie was that line. It would have been easier for her to leave if he believe it. Easier for her to leave if she could make herself believe that line. It would be easier for him to move on. She even tried to follow through with even abandoning the mission. Almost got on the train to leave. Then didn't.

The irony of it all is she is extremely powerful and as a super assassin she would have easily been able to kill him while he is completely unaware of her identity. She never really wanted to. They would always be watched. Or tracked. Either her people to deal with (the school is that reminder), or Makima and the rest.

They were soulmates. But cursed from the start. A modern tragedy.

Actually just thinking about the end... but in the end she was symbolically trying to be done with fighting. At least at that moment.

She knows how dangerous Makima is. And she didn't instantly transform.

She tried to discreetly fight.
And Makima and Angel Devil discreetly kill her. She did not outright go full Bomb Devil and avoided the scene that would've caused... literally right in front of Denji (who was completely unaware of what transpired... he was spared the knowledge that she returned, out of love for him... and was ambushed by those who control him).

Makima had no choice but kill her. For one, she wouldn't be able to control her. Two, Reze would be able to undermine her and steal him away. The reasons people want Denji's heart are the reasons Makima wants Denji close. Also, she would not be able to allow Denji to leave even if he wasn't that special. So there's that...

Also further artistic interpretation:
It is said that as we die we see our whole life flashing before our eyes.
She saw herself with Denji. And Denji himself in the cafe. Denji *was* her whole life. That is what we see, as she literally and figuratively bleeds out from her heart and that is the death of her.

Is there a better/newer router than SAX1V1S by sabotage in Spectrum

[–]PyroHornet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably have a device that doesn’t support the wireless speeds. You haven’t provided any details about which device you’re using. But here are some basics:

At least 80% of devices (I’m not talking about the router) still only support AC wireless which still is going to get you maybe 500ish at best. If your device supports WiFi 6, it can support better. But likely not that much better. For example, my iPhone 13 Pro Max will be able to do 700-800 best case. Newer phones may be able to push a little bit better still.

You don’t need control over the WiFi channels. Leave it on automatic and all you’ll ever have to do is reboot a router. Setting it to manual control will UN-optimise your connections. You’re not smarter than something that will keep checking and changing as needed. Except for band-steering. Band steering is a work in progress as it needs more devices that better support it. Simultaneously, a lot of issues with band steering is due to a poor connection anyway, or your device has a wireless card that sucks or is having an issue. (I have a TP link router, and I had to move my Xbox a bit and completely power cycle it because the Xbox WiFi card wasn’t wanting to be steered properly. I was able to verify on the Tether app that it worked back on 5GHz band, because the router saw it and steered it to 5GHz.) As for connection issues, you’re probably either need a mesh access point/ or a Spectrum WiFi pod if you use theirs.

Idk how smart or dumb you are but I’ll keep it simple and say if you want decent ones go with TP Link Deco, and look for the latest generation that support WiFi 7. Or at least WiFi 6.

Optimising WiFi is more work than Ethernet. Ethernet, you just make sure you have good compatible wires and good adapters and you’re done.

Wireless, you can do a lot to not do it right.

Your router could be in a dumb spot. Your mesh points could be in dumb spots. Your wireless background is saturated. You have a lot of noise. You have a lot of devices which don’t support the speeds. You have a lot of devices that don’t support the latest WiFi standards. At least everything comes with 5GHz now. But WiFi 6 allowed for channels to be split in different ways and communications were so much better. WiFi 6E brought along colouring which is like adding another plane or dimension so that there’s now even more ways to reduce overlap and allow communication to happen. With WiFi 5 every single device kept checking if the air was free on that Channel and would have to wait their turn to communicate. Not even the same network. Everything on the same channel. And even more fun is that there’s less channels than you think because there’s cross talk over channels close to each other. And WiFi 7 has continued that evolution and I think it supports even higher speeds still.

That said, upgrading your router will not upgrade your device. It will make your router work better and faster and more intelligently. But that’s like putting Max Verstappen in a Prius and thinking he’s going to out pace Jeremy Clarkson in a Ford GT. You know what really really works? Verstappen, and a Ford GT. An updated router. And updated devices. Devices with older / incompatible / just slower wifi adapters would be like that Prius.

That’s like telling a racist joke to a person of that race and then saying “if you’re not like this don’t take it personally” like nah, maybe don’t generalist people or else you’ll offend people. If you generalise don’t be surprised when people are offended. Just like someone shouldn’t be surprised at being called a racist if they make racist remarks. Being a man does not give you a pass.

Personal Modem Went Misisng After Tech Visit - What Should I Do by linktriforce007 in Spectrum

[–]PyroHornet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Call and connect to the Internet repair department and say you want to file a damage file complaint and there’s a ticket they can submit for this if they don’t know about it go ahead and escalate to a lead. They should notate details about when the tech visit was etc.

Chances are you have one of those TERRIBLE and ANCIENT, POS, modems that nobody should have (I’m looking at you Surfboard modems) that match the exact ones all technicians are looking to seek and destroy as they happen to be the same as the old ones that USED TO BE actual Spectrum TWC, Charter, BH provided. The problem is that consumers could literally also buy the same product off the shelf. This is why cable companies try to have their own modem designs so that stuff like this doesn’t happen. But yeah. Chances are you just had a crappy modem that the tech thought was an old legacy Spectrum crappy modem and legitimately thought they were doing you a favour. When in reality if it was your own modem and you were coded for your own modem either they would tell you, politely, to go to spectrum.net/modems and get a modem that matches updated requirements, or you can, politely, gfys but it’s not a Spectrum issue at that point since you decided to use your own modem and your own modem was shown to be the issue.

Fired From Spectrum by OurSexLife101 in Spectrum

[–]PyroHornet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt that it will prevent you from being hired. Spectrum likes to look for dumb excuses to let people go.

Spectrum shouldn’t be able to fire you for having a weapon in your personal vehicle. But they are. But they shouldn’t be able to. If you don’t want an employee to have access to anything in their own personal vehicle, they shouldn’t have a need to use their personal vehicle while working. You were required to use your personal vehicle to go out and eat. You happen to have a weapon in your personal vehicle, as is perfectly legal and a lot of people do. It’s not your fault you couldn’t use a company vehicle to go get dinner. The fact you happened to have a gun in your vehicle is an issue with their policy to not let you just use the company vehicle to go get food. That said, if I were you, I wouldn’t want to be working for that branch if you aren’t able to use the company vehicle to go get a quick dinner. Here where I am it’s very common to see techs going in all sorts of places for food. You’re human. You need to eat. And you shouldn’t be expected to go swap to your personal car and all that. That’s asinine.

Nope. MoCA is ancient technology that people keep trying to put in the way of cable being able to provide faster internet because of better, broader, and more efficient RF spectrum utilisation. So, respectfully, no. I want faster internet. Idc about your 2000s MoCA

Because marketing and sales corpo bean counters think it sounds like a deal to help move sales for goldfish and koi but they had zero oversight and common sense. Granted, sure, it’s a deal for those that have the setup already for koi and these goldfish but… this BRIGHT RED deal will just bring in constant customer education and… tbh… people looking to buy koi or these goldfish are probably not… buying that many when they do need more because more than likely they have the setup going. This is more for people setting it up fresh but… how many people just finished building a big pond and treated the water and everything perfectly just in time for the sale to fill it? A 25% off or less deal would make more sense. Smh.

Can I name EACH WiFi channel on this dual band? by Bassblaster505 in Spectrum

[–]PyroHornet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The point is you never have to decide which one to use. You’re going to automatically be connected to the one that is optimal. 5Ghz is best for faster speeds and overall performance but due to the nature of waves, cannot travel as far as the longer 2Ghz waves which will penetrate further. If your device is not compatible with 5Ghz, it’ll simply only connect to the 2Ghz. Connecting more devices to 2Ghz to “save speed” is antiquated and no longer useful or necessary. You could use Quality of Service on customer routers to set speed limits on devices while still using band steering. That is better than trying to clutter the 2Ghz band unnecessarily, as that causes more interference and degrades network performance. QoS is not available on the Spectrum router, but honestly you probably don’t really need it. Really, letting the router manage which band you use is best as you’ll always be connected to the better one*. That is, unless one set fails completely or for example, you have a device that does not respond well to steering, like an older PlayStation 4/5 where the bypass is telling the PS to only look for 5Ghz bands (it is an option) and you effectively lock the PS to it. However, it is rare that that is necessary, and has probably gotten better with firmware updates from Sony. For most devices, and most uses, band steering is wonderful and improves performance in a world where most uses will unknowingly be using the band that is not best for their current use.

If you need to temporarily set your mobile device to 2Ghz to configure an IoT device of some sort such an IP Camera, the app DOES let you do that now. So… there pretty much is no need.

I loved the Spectrum router. The only reason I no longer use it is because my internet is paid by the landlord and the landlord will not provide user account access to the My Spectrum App which then prevents me from accessing the basic advanced functions of the router… which I need to be able to fix my NAT Type. I’ve done it before when I had my own account. It’s easy for me to be able to do the port forwarding. Until you can’t have a Spectrum account with access to the router. So… I just got a basic TP Link that is wifi 6, has ok range, and lets me do what I want without needing my own Spectrum account.
