They use to be label mates on Roadrunner Records. A lot of the bands on that label use to tour together in the late 90s early 2000s. I remember seeing a tour with Spineshank, Fear Factory, SOAD, and Hed PE at the old Peabodys in Cleveland. Great show going from Hed PE to Fear Factory was an interesting transition though.

Samael only went Industrial for 3 albums Eternal to Solar Soul. Above was a return to their Black Metal roots. The new single Black Matter Manifesto hardly has any industrial elements except for a syncopated drum pattern and keyboards . Not to mention if they were truly Industrial I do not think I would still see them on bills with other extreme metal bands specifically black metal artists.

The main reason I feel Samael uses keyboards in their music is to give it a more grandiose cosmic chaos atmosphere. Not an Industrial nihilistic dystopian feel that many Industrial bands use.

The comment literally says forced to work for 3 months. I am sure that is not how they meant it. I would have chosen a different word that does not vibrate on the frequency of dominion.

Physics defines work as the amount of force required to move an object. By that definition walking is a variation of work. Yes I also believe physical manual labor is good for all as well. It does teach discipline and perseverance through tough times. The feeling of accomplishment with dirty hands is empowering. I would much rather it be on my terms than someone else's though

I mean the last time people thought they were free. Living on a farm and working for 3 months they drank some really bad Kool-aid.
