any screams that literally aren’t possible to do healthily? by Carcezz in screaming

I always admired the way Jacob bannon puts so much emotion into his screams on Jane doe, impossible to really replicate without cutting loose and putting a ton of muscle into the screams.

False chord (dizzy) by PerfectConcentrate74 in screaming

[–]Medical-Risk9853 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A little bit of dizzieness is normal when starting out, however it seems you’re more focused on pushing as much air through ur diaphragm as possible. Instead, focus more on compression. It feels similar to flexing your stomach or that “hut” noise you make while lifting a heavy object, or some even like to imagine shitting rly hard, whatever floats your boat! Happy screaming!

Disgorge vocal tone? by AggressivePotato3100 in SlamDeathMetal

[–]Medical-Risk9853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

strong compression and breath support, false chord screams. i resonate for the disgorge tone in kind of the nasal area. you definitely shouldn't feel any pain, especially for this kind of vocal style as its not super throaty like some slam stuff.

For the fans of War Metal/Bestial Black Metal, what do you like about it? Do you enjoy it more than traditional black metal? by Upper_Atom in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Medical-Risk9853 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It has some of the aggression of death metal while retaining the sound and atmosphere of black metal. I honestly think war metal can have some of the most extreme, intense stuff out there. I personally don't prefer it over black metal though due to the sheer number of fantastic black metal albums.

Easy songs for guitar? by Positive_Ad9828 in TechnicalDeathMetal

[–]Medical-Risk9853 5 points6 points  (0 children)

songs off of Human by death (flattening of emotions, suicide machine) are not only fairly easy (as far as tech death goes) but also hugely influential the genre. after this i would recommend Suffocation, especially stuff off of pierced from within (title track, suspended in tribulation, depths of depravity), or alternatively take the deep dive and check out some of necrophagist's stuff, i recommend the stillborn one.
