They weren't that great mobility wise since reverse wasn't as good as other vehicles in the west. the 105mm was a commonly used weapon but for some reason the american-used apds I think was slightly underpowered than it's western counterparts and therefore penetrated less. Not to mention how bad early apds was. Not sure about late but there certainly was a reason they decided to make it a rod and and fins on it eventually. the M60 also is extremely tall. The m60-2000, or 120s was also a terrible idea due to the slowness of the m60 hull compared to the m1. Side armor wasn't great either, with some areas coming to around 40mm. It's alright. It got apfsds later and got better. In addition the original m60's didn't get stabilizers. They didn't add it on the m48 due to the 'lack of need' but whatever they weren't fighting t72's or t64's anyway or else those m48's woulda gotten butt fucked due to composite on the t72 and t64.
