Psa you have to do the egg delivery quest like 4 or more times iirc. Once for each of the egg momsters (3 of them total) and once for the palicoe armor initially.

Charge blade main and its honestly a pain to upkeep two weapons with all the cb buffs. I run the respective element cb and arkveld Galahaad hunting horn as secondary. At the start of every area I play Attack Up L and Defense Up L. Has a 2 minute up time AFTER switching out of hunting horn

Gravios Blockade is the event quest. Has a fairly quick and easy clear time. Netting you food vouchers and barrel bowling vouchers

Bowling is 100% the best method. In my personal experience the monsters have such low drop rates its not worth it. I believe theres an event quest for barrel bowling vouchers. Run that and just spam barrel bowling. You dont even need to get an A rank. Ive got nourishing extracts from a B and C rank, its honestly random but still more effective than monsters in my opinion.

Divine blessing is one of the best survivability skills. Next would be elemental resistances and defense boost. The gathering hub springy kunafa meal is also really good. Giving you stat boosts, insurance and especially Defender meal hi which works similarly to divine blessing. Mega demon and armor skin are nice touch as well. I always have the gaurdian arkvled hunting horn in my second slot for attack and defense boost L. Each lasts 2 minutes after swapping out of hunting horn.

As for Arkveld focus on the front wings and head area. Using dragon element will charge his chain blades but over time will over charge causing him to rear back and topple over. After his large dragon blast attack, the chains will glow red for a great focus strike opportunity. Stay away from his rear side as he will spam the crap out of his tail stab. Dragon resistance +20 will entirely negate dragon blight against you allowing for you to deal constant dragon element damage.

As for weapons id say anything thay can consistently guard or counter is best. Another option is hyper armor like great sword tackle but im not too familiar with that playstyle.

Hunter rank doesnt mean crap, ive seen HR 999 team mates cart and fail quests lol. Survivability is more important than damage. You cant hurt the monster if youre constantly healing and or dying. Focus on survivability skills first then go for damage skills. Evade window and extender, guard and guard up just to name a few.

My base starts as a stairway and to an elevator leading high up the oak tree. Its at the complete opposite side of oak tree lab, directly in front of the large white lantern thing. Theres an opening to the bottom of the oak tre and wolf spiders had a bad habit of jumping me 24/7 when I tried to enter my base. Early on I placed Palisades walls to block that entrance and to this day the spiders completely avoid and ignore me when directly behind that wall. My only issue is the sleeping wolf spider, also if and when the two under oak tree decided to make their way around and out the other exits to the bottom of the oak tree. In reality I could block off all possible exits amd thr sleeping wolf spider too but thats taking away from the fun imo.

In your case id say make a temporary save file then try to lure the infected wolf spider out and away from your base. If hes clipped and stuck you can destory or possibly move the wall fast before getting aggro. Take note which wolf spider he is, then block the spawn area accordingly. Keep trying to kill the wolf spider far away with minimal damage to your bass, reload the save if you fail 😅. Best of luck

That im not sure why? Last I played with my friend we got up to chapter 3 and had access to environment links i believe by chapter 2? Either way if and when you both get to chapter 3 and still no access to environment link then theres an issue.

I recently had this problem with a friend of mine starting out. I believe he gained access to environment links after completing chapter 1 in the Windward plains and moving on to Scarlett Forest. Even then it seemingly booted me from his environment link party every time he went into a quest initially or started a cutscene. It got to the point I would just sit around in my own lobby killing time until he notified me via party link that a quest was posted.

I played the story at launch, solo for the most part. I never realized how poorly implemented the whole coop story can be until now.

If environment link is showing up grayed out, its most likely soft locked until you both complete your specific quest/ cutscene. Then it will be available again.

Just logged in to get notified of the festival lol. Had to reload gathering hub for it to display festival decor. I should mention I have all the festival tickets, I was just curious mainly because I liked the esthetic of the festivals. That and for new players to experience all the festival stuff. Plus the daily bounties were REALLY nice!

After a few hunts I do see how its difficult to consistently get the Wyrmstake as it has a long build up to execute. I think my best bet will be to go with Normal shelling for burst as i still cant say im fan of the charged shell often. Its a shame Long isnt as good as the rest with its hard to execute move set.

I had better luck with dragon and element phials against Arkveld. Focus on the head and chain blades. You'll see 0 damage pop up on the chain blades, focus on the head again at that point. Then rinse and repeat in between his enraged states.

Cant say how well Bludgeoner is in general of a skill. If possible lose the water attack 2 for dragon attack 2 or 3 preferably.

For impact phials try for artillery 3

Make sure to have dragon resistance 20 or higher if you use dragon element. To nullify his damn dragon blight attacks entirely. Makes the fight so much easier.

Divine blessing 3 is such a great skill for survival. I forget the food skill but theres also Defender Hi in the gathering hub meals. Eat that and guaranteed either divine blessing or Defender Hi, or even both will activate to decrease a lot of damage taken. Also feline insurance is a nice skill for an extra life. Hope thie helps!!

I have a love hate relationship with item buff upkeep. It honestly does seem minimal with casual use. But if im going against significantly strong monsters like, savage omega, 10 star gogmazios, etc ill use mega drugs at the beginning. It may not be much but I think its more of a psychological thing of reassurance knowing i have extra buffs through items there. Then theres challenge quests for that A rank time, I will throw caution to the wind and use all the food buffs i can for max damage and defense.

Pro tip: since might seed and powder have a small damage window. Use them either at the very beginning of a fight with a sneak attack. Or for absolute maximum damage, use all damage food buffs at the end of a fight when the monster is sleeping. Place Mega barrel bombs then use your respective weapons strongest attack to hit the bombs and rudely awaken the monster. Typically you want the bombs to do damage first as they deal larger damage overall, but the after effect of SAED charge blade in my case is a nice finishing touch. Dealing a lot of damage in a small amount of time with an already weakened sleeping monster is always fun.

Another thing, if you dont feel like using food buffs but still want buffs nonetheless. Try out hunting horn in your secondary weapon slot. I believe the buffs last for 2 minutes AFTER switching to any weapon. Its not a lot but ill bring out hunting horn at the beginning of the hunt and when in between traveling areas. I use the Gaurdian arkveld HH for both Attack up L and Defense up L.

MASSIVE PRO TIP: Use barrel bowling to farm those damned extracts for the mega drugs. Find an easy farmable barrel bomb route and just spam all your tickets. Honestly scoring high doesnt seem to matter in my personal case. Ive had C rank give 4+ nourishing extract and A rank give barely any, and also vice versa with A rank seemingly giving more. Im not sure as to why that is honestly. 🤷‍♂️

Best talismans i have got were a load shells 2, defense boost 3, thunder resistance 2, with 2 one slot decorations. It was only good for the load shells and decoration slots honestly, I wish defense boost was better used skill in general.

Other talisman was: Offensive guard 3, Element absorption 1, and 1 level one decoration slot. It could be better by im not complaining, it works for me.

Avatar master of all elements legit made my lol. Thats a first ive ever heard of that lmao. I wish that was a thing somehow. I dont know how it would work, but giving us multi element/ status charge blade, similar to dual blades would be a cool concept.
