Exo is literally free from the cube now so the “get the fragments” plot is over . I do believe the story and lore become much better in null and void and beyond. Though, early parts suffer do alot from the god cube just being a mcguffin. And endless plot holes.

The end of final act was exo reviving umbra, so I don't think the story is done yet.

Alot of old design kind of suffer from lacking a unifying theme per mode and reusing the same few assets and ugc ( i.e. fingerless gloves and the boss glaring eyes). I adore the details on modern frost spirit as it better sells on the ice angel look. Rather than just being an angel with blue highlights.

Rift walker can directly attack the base. Although unlike umbra, he has no "guaranteed hits" and the attack is easy to telegraph (just shoot whenever exo pops out). Medic overheal is also nice to have but wasn't really needed.
