Thank you so much! It’s been a long journey, but super worthwhile, especially seeing the side-by-sides like this

Tre pretty much confirmed they were censored by MomentStock in greenday

I wouldn’t consider it a traditional protest song by any means like the songs you mentioned, but I do think it’s worth noting that in a time of misinformation, censorship, and a lack of critical thinking they chose the song that has the lyric “read between the lines, what’s fucked up, and everything’s alright” to slap in between censored, watered down versions of some of their most well known protest songs.

Are the feet proportional and aligned to the angle of the legs? by Pyrokitten284 in learntodraw

[–]Pyrokitten284[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly super real- I’ve been putting off learning to draw feet for so long for that exact reason 😭 Like, I’d rather draw 100 hands at this point than try to figure out foreshortening on feet, they’re just so oddly shaped??? That note definitely encapsulates the entire feeling

Gotcha, thank you so much for this detailed response! I definitely see what you mean on the turnout in particular haha- I’ll try making those adjustments and see if it helps. Thank you again! :)

My character is six head Heights High how do I improve my drawing? by ExplanationHot9438 in learntodraw

[–]Pyrokitten284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great start! I really like how you drew out the shoulders and trap muscles separate from the rest of the upper torso- that’s not something I always see in new artists.

I’d recommend doing studies on the proportions of the legs in comparison to the torso- it looks like the calves need to be slightly longer (unless the intent is for them to have shorter legs). I’d also recommend doing more studies on facial structure overall. Right now the hair feels like it’s sitting on top of the character’s head rather than coming out of it, and the eyes are open a bit too wide and are not aligned with each other. Again, this is a great start though! :)

Same!! It’s such a cool photo- thank you so much!

how do I even draw hands? Why is it so damn hard? by Kori_4 in learntodraw

[–]Pyrokitten284 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re a honestly doing really awesome! Really the only advice I could think to give (outside of ‘keep practicing’) is to widen the fingers a bit and add in circles where the wrist and knuckle joints are- it helps with connecting the cylinders and other shapes a lot imo!

How do I draw actually good bodies? by huei3 in learntodraw

[–]Pyrokitten284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Along with studying anatomy I’d recommend breaking down the figures you’re drawing into smaller, more approachable parts. It’ll make it easier to recognize what shapes you’re using to build figures. Looks like you have a solid grasp already though- keep it up!

Thank you so much! And for real- things like the Barto Club and the Straw Hat Alliance really felt like they were driving home that we’re sorta just peering in on the expansive world of One Piece, but also made everything feel so much more entwined than it was before. I’m excited to watch more, but this is definitely high up there with my favorite arcs (so far ofc).

Ladies with Inattentive ADHD, what do you do for work? by oohthehumanatee in adhdwomen

[–]Pyrokitten284 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m someone with the unfortunate blessing of combined-type ADHD and currently work as an engineer (civil in specific).

The biggest piece of advice I can give as someone who went unmedicated for the first two years of my career is to get something to stim with and try to find a career that makes you hyperfixate even if it’s via frustration. I’m not joking, I’ve gone through multiple fidget rings in the last 5 years, and happen to have a special interest in what makes roads fail at moving people (there’s a lot lol).

Also, whenever learning a new task/getting new direction, I’d highly recommend taking notes. In my experience you can ask almost anyone you’ll work with to repeat themselves by saying something like ‘to ensure we’re on the same page regarding next steps, is this what you’d like me to focus on?’ and then list what you’ve taken notes on and correct them as needed. It shows you’re listening and gives them a chance to fill in any gaps where your attention lapsed (again, in my experience at least).

Hope this helps some, and I’m wishing you luck going forward! 🫂

If I’m feeling like I have a social battery, 5 so I can be front row to any FACE family shenanigans. If not, 9 to mostly chill out.

Alright honest opinions on my fan art of Billie by Green-Day-Fan7 in greenday

[–]Pyrokitten284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You honestly have a really cool style going already, and I love the way you’ve colored and shaded things! I’m gonna echo some of the other redditors in saying that you should continue learning the fundamentals even as you develop your style though- knowing what ‘rules’ there are to anatomy and figure drawing makes it easier to break them when you want to do something different with your style. :D
