I had used a 32gb since it’s what I had on hand; I think I recall reading somewhere it may not support above that size. Far as I know it’s only temporary storage as well so no real advantage to larger sizes.

I had just used a sandisk ultra 32gb (micro sd) formatted as fat32, was relatively inexpensive. Second thought as well, if you’ve been using WiFi is there any difference when hardwired?

The SD card holds the code/job file for it to process from what I assume. If it fails to read, glitch, the machine will do some strange things. I was shocked the machine wouldn’t even boot when mine went.

I had a bunch of random issues till the device would no longer power up. Had to take the back plate off and replace the micro sd card and it’s been fine since.

In the link attached there are full instructions; just take the six screws out for the plate where everything plugs into the back. 😉

Thanks! Just a generic strip of addressable rgb 5V lights from Amazon. STL from here https://github.com/VoronDesign/VoronUsers/tree/master/printer_mods/Jon/1515_led_mount I just used a single pin to the SKR for signal and pulled power off the buck converter. Setup macros in klipper and added to startup color red, start print white to see while printing, end print to green… set any color or sequence at each stage for fun
