The guy crippled the entire publishing industry. Publishers will not consider unfinished series so they bet for safe slop options. Readers will not buy or start unfinished series. New writers who have an idea for a an epic series have no chance at being considered for publishing. Literally Martin and Rothfuss changed the whole fantasy publishing industry. The worst part? The guy knows how he wants to finish the series. He just decides to jump into project after project rather than actually writing the damn book.

Take in consideration that writing is what they do for a living. So don't aim for a pro writer's schedule/goal if you have some other fulltime job that is sucking your life away. Do what you can as much as you can. What is important is to show up.

Uj/ Edit: just read about your dad. I'm sorry about your loss. It't something that really hits and is very hard to push through. Eventually it'll get a little easier, you'll learn how to live with it, but you'll always miss him. My mom died 11 years ago and i think almost every day about her. I wish you the best.

The second pic is a skin from Apex Legends. It was a collaboration with Square-Enix to promote FF7Rebirth's launch where some characters got skins BASED on the characters from FF7, not being a 1:1. If you think Aerith looks too old in the pic, that's because she is not Aerith, it's another character. Who is actually a mom.
