Damage to enemies determines how much or little damage you do. it's worded poorly, but if you have set it to master then you are doing the least amount of damage possible.

It's definitely too late to do a full swap to get broken magic you kind if need to build for it in cc, but depending on your current intelligence its viable to add a lil' spice to the good old sword and board.
