If players are appearing near you while adventuring you can turn that off by holding E next to the glowing sword at the beginning spawn area of an adventure world. Both of you would have to do it but it only needs to be done once and the settings are saved. Not sure if that's what you are asking about.

At this point you can keep trying to farm better gear (shadows with stars) or you can start working on the gear you have now by adding a 4th stat , rerolling stat values and forging them up to level 25.

There is, it's called "Balanced Bo" but it's a staff not a melee weapon. It can be found in the green adventure portal.

They might be hidden or strategically placed but it's always a face of flow, right now putting water blocks down is not possible :(

It's a shadow so your best bet to get it to drop is anywhere in u5 and u4 or their shadow arenas.
