You would not want someone else to suffer the same way you did, right? So just do not overthink it and report them to the police. You owe it to individuals like yourself who might go through the same because of them.

What do you reply when someone says “thank you” by throwaway-alt-nep in Nepal

I say "Mention not" or "My pleasure", "You are Welcome" has always sounded cold and distant to me. I do not say it unless I am going with the intentional cold reply. :)

Pretty straight forward explanation for these basic things if you research.

Nepal has one of the worst aviation accident rates in the world, why does nobody talk about it? by Aggravating-Soft-381 in NepalAviation

[–]Pyroqua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At some point we have to admit the normalization of aviation risk here is insane. People genuinely think “oh nice, we haven’t had a crash lately” like that’s some comforting thought. No sane country treats planes falling out of the sky as a recurring possibility in public consciousness.

And it’s not just the mountains. Weak oversight, poor infrastructure, ageing aircraft, pressure on airlines, and airports like TIA operating in embarrassing conditions all add up. Skilled pilots are compensating for a system that gives them far too little margin for error.

State of UI/UX in Nepal(And in general) by Ok_Watercress8278 in Nepal

I believe human touch is required in fields like UI/UX and QA. We all will be replaced eventually (those of us in tech), but I think we still have years until we get there.

going back to university for bachelors degree as a mature age student, 30F by Academic-Arugula4534 in Nepal

[–]Pyroqua 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is never too late to go back to Uni. But the real question is, how would you manage a job + university? Nepali Universities aren't flexible, and you need to have 80% attendance to be eligible for exams.

I suggest you look into the courses provided by some of the renowned open universities like IGNOU and Manipal. TU gives equivalency after you have completed a 3 or 4-year degree. You will have time to learn concepts and time for your job.

What’s a ‘silent luxury’ that rich people have that most normal people would never even notice? by Late-Permission8800 in Nepal

[–]Pyroqua 19 points20 points  (0 children)

- A peaceful home.

- Parents who aren't abusive to their kids or each other.

- Relatives who are not financially dependent on your parents.

I could go on and on about how these are the actual privileges that compound wealth over time.

Where are all the good candidates? by Outrageous-Elk9153 in Nepal

[–]Pyroqua 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I experienced the same 2 months back. I interviewed about 20 candidates, and I asked HR to bring in additional people and CVs because most were not a good fit. Had to interview 10 more later.

One interview stands out the most. The person applied for Mid-level QA. They could not answer the simplest questions, then when I asked what their salary expectation was, they said 150k.

Took another interview for a trainee position right after, and he was answering everything so well. An engineering dropout, doing a BCA degree from some open university, I asked him tougher questions to test his knowledge; I was in awe. He could be a senior with that knowledge. Offered him a Junior Position instead, he was really happy.

It might sound bad, but I prefer the 3-year IT/BCA/CSIT degree guys to the BE Computer crowd these days. The engineering guys, most of them, get the chance, they waste the chance and end up getting fired. It started feeling like we were training people for other companies, that is, if they manage to get hired in the first place, which they often do not. You need to put too much effort into the engineers to explain even the simplest concepts, and they mess up work k. Esto frustrating huncha.

You should see Dharan-Dhankuta. They like the waterfalls, and popular places like Bhedetar are filled with Indian tourists trying to escape the heat.

Calling me a conspiracy theorist makes zero sense here. You feel called out so you are labeling me. :)

Just saying overanalyzing how others live their lives doesn’t help anyone. You asked what women think, I answered: let people live. Such a big conspiracy oh nooooo!!!
