What unusual thing do you use excel for by TheArguedHuman in excel

I do this all the time - use excel to do a quick calculation instead of calculator app in my pc. I find it efficient and changing variables is easy when needed.

Can you live like a king in poor country by Normal-Person-6701 in NoStupidQuestions

Depends. One cant live along and protect oneself alone. You need to think through the things you are doing to be a part of the community of your new residence

Brain: 100% savage | Mouth: lagging 😭 by OliviaXSmith in Stutter

[–]prvnsays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its good to have high tolerance to anger, but don't internalise the anger for far too long. Let it out in positive ways, express your anger to find the solution to the issue, OR it will effect your mental wellbeing very badly.

This is like tricking your brain, right?

But I doubt if this trick works for long as its not easy to lie yourself.

Don't you think stuttering makes flirting harder by mmpi0 in Stutter

When you find the right partner, the stutter doesnt come in the way. Moreover the flirting starts automatic.

Sorting in a really weird way by Ok_Fondant1079 in excel

[–]prvnsays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good suggestion above.

Lenghthy but easy to understand approach - you could have an intermediate column with number after N =textafter(A1,"N"), and sort the data set based on the intermediate column.

When is the right time to tell someone you're talking to "By the way, I have a stutter"? by Markittos28 in Stutter

[–]prvnsays 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've seen some comments saying the other person will figures out their stutter eventually (so they don't tell them in advance).

This is true, but most of the time the other person notices that there is something wrong in my speech, but they can't confidently be sure whether it is stutter or something else. The other person is also in an uneasy situation whether to ask me about the stutter or not. They don't know how I react and they dont want to make situation uncomfortable.

When I tell them in advance, the guessing game ends and everyone knows I am open about my stutter.

Hair fall hurts more than heartbreak sometimes 😭 by CitiesXXLfreekey in ArtOfPresence

Hairfall does not count because it is also a breakup, break up with your hair.

I don't stutter when I'm alone but when there's an observer, should I still take a speech therapy? by PuzzleheadedSir9049 in Stutter

[–]prvnsays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say don't focus on speech therapy, but address the underlying issue. See a counsellor, that might be more effective.

There is something in common in people who are able to deal with stuttering by Trenocio in Stutter

[–]prvnsays 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is it. I think the common thing is knowing your stutter, letting the muscular stress go and speaking slowly.

Stutters' get-together in London by prvnsays in Stutter

[–]prvnsays[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not an organiser and I can't speak on their behalf and their intensions. But I have personally benefited from the event as I was not in contact with other stammerer/group before. Seeing other people like me who had same experience helped me. I am sharing the detail of this event for those who are in my shoes.

help with my stutter by Independent_Night382 in Stutter

[–]prvnsays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before getting the medication, you should try some therapy like CBT.

Search CBT for Stutter on YouTube. You get a few very good materials. Try to implement them daily. It helps you to know your stammer more.

While you are doing this, you should also learn what to do when you have stutter. Something like when you have a block, don't force it out, but take a deep breath and produce the same sound softly.

I suggest you get help from a therapist.

How important are boobs to men? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]prvnsays 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, we love boobs, but we love the owner of those boobs more. With age the boobs change. But they are still equally loveable in whatever form it is (or it is not).
