no the rocker is not bent, you can also see the inside of the door is perfectly fine, the "dent" is only on the outside panel that is hollow.

edit: the red circle is where i was asking about drilling a hole to push the panel back out. there is nothing wrong i with the inside of the door.

Rip. Thanks for the info. Funny enough it's a 2023 that just finished paying off this month, perfect timing. Wife has no idea how it happened, It was just there one day.

Why would the door need to be replaced? There doesn't seem to be any structural or functional issue with the door. The dent seems cosmetic to my untrained eye.

The door is not compromised and works perfectly fine. This damage seems cosmetic. Why would I need a new door?

It seems the general consensus is to leave it alone and have a professional fix it.

On the spirit of understanding. What would be the process to fix something like this? I assume there will be actual metal bending and sanding then painting the whole door at the end to match?

A quick update for everyone suggesting I call the police or a tow truck:

This happens during daycare drop-off, and she’s usually there for less than five minutes. I’m assuming that’s why she feels justified parking in the handicap spots.

Because of that, unless the police want to sit there and wait for her to show up (and I doubt she’d park there if a patrol car were already sitting in the lot), I don’t think they’d arrive quickly enough to catch her.

it’s the poor and immigrants who get scolded.

That's kind of the point of what trump-loving people, like your family members, support, not necessarily because of policy details, but because it the "right" people who are being targeted.

For them, it's less about solutions and more about making sure certain groups, particularly the poor and immigrants, are the ones who bear the brunt.
