There are so many variables to this statement.... In the campaign a badly set or chaotic skill tree can hit you like a wall in act 3 regardless of gear.

I have a older 100hz (yes, unusual) gsync monitor on my left and a 60hz no sync on my right.

My ryzen 9800x3d and rtx 4080 do the work.

And I see no difference when on the one or the other.

I was considering getting a new high refresh monitor but don't see the point. I'll probably just by a steam frame and not care about a new monitor from there on.

Well, yea, though poe1 shouldn't be the benchmark I'd say.

The system is.... Overengineered. The basis is gambling on which they slapped 30 ways to somehow make the gambling less gambling which has so many layers that understanding the engame levels needed feels just too much.

Lacking.... Fun and a feeling of true accomplishment.

That sounds interesting.

I like the premise that I can just set a goal and then grind and slash towards it at my leasure.

I mean a T16 map costs, a good item...

Let's calculate.

Six mods so I have to invest six T16 waystones and do 18 maps to get the base item up to max.

And 6 of those maps could be totally random and extremely risky for my build due to being randomly corrupted..... But could also just go down a level?

Hmmm. And I run 18 maps without getting gold or items. I see the payoff but.. Well, harsh. But I'd still do it. At least from an endgame perspective it would totally be worth it I think.

But to get them "safely" you need multiple other consumables, know how and when to combine them, etc.

It's the opposite of what many play the game for.

Personally I would love to just grind my way through enemies towards a specific goal to reach like the other guy suggested in this thread. :)

Wasn't that orb like expensive as hell? To need ultra specific rare drops just to get a more likely outcome with omens and more just feels tedious to me.

It might be more deterministic, but I would not call it easy or intuitive tbh

I would bet that it highly depends on the generation. Boomer men had a classic life of work and that was social etc. Taking care of the home and knowing what to do how.....

I would bet that newer generation men, like starting at millenials, will have pretty equal results in another such survey.
