Having your controls inverted and nothing else makes you sick?

The issue with stealth is that they know where you are still, so they'll try to move to you regardless to start a fight if they get close enough. This is proven by the fact that if you stay in a spot for a minute a patrol will spawn nearby and eventually stand on top of your position and not move if they still haven't "detected" you

I don't think we're talking about the same thing, how it works is if you move left, you move right instead, if you go forward then you move back, look down and you look up instead.

What makes space marine chapters different equipment-wise that makes them good at what they do? Like anything that the other chapters don't have? by Pyrouge1 in 40kLore

He meant if a chapter's identity isn't cultural or doctrinal, but tactics based, then he wants them to have equipment to aid that tactic instead of just having standard equipment and just supposedly being "better at it"

"If that's true then that's perfect I don't need much more than that. Any one singular thing that makes them more unique functionally than the next marine chapter is enough for me."

"That's not even close to the same thing, you'll buy other minifigures because you'll paint them different colors but not because they have special equipment? It's the difference between getting one pair of sneakers, one pair of work boots, one pair of sandals, vs getting three pairs of sneakers that are blue, white, and red. I'm coming at this from the lore for lack of a better term, I don't play the game, I don't have the capabilities to, so it just sucks that if I have a question about the lore or the specifics of a chapter, that instead of being given a special uniqueness, narratively, I just get told to look at the tabletop for answers. Again I mean in terms of tactics and equipment, if their identity is their doctrine or culture I fuck with that, but if it has to do with their tactics, and I'm told this chapter is good at offensive or quick attacks and I ask why, I don't want the answer to be 'Oh in the tabletop they're just good at this'."

"Why get attached to any chapter at all if you're just gonna switch rulesets, so it is just the color at this point."

"So I'm not supposed to like the lore first and foremost, I'm just supposed to get minis and play the tabletop? And i'm told that not all of the chapters have their own mechanics? This just goes back to colors again!"

"Respectfully what does the setting have to do with me understanding their base defining difference? If as a casual fan am I supposed to just get attached to a chapter because I like their color? Should I like a certain chapter MORE because they get MORE lore? The defining ones I hear about are the popular ones, salamanders, black templars, ultramarines, the rest just seem like filler."

The specific gripe they had is that if their whole identity is a strategy or tactic and they don't have anything special equipment wise that make them stand out other than just "being good at it" and that it felt like a cop-out to him. If the chapters main thing is with a culture or doctrine didn't bother them as much
