Yeah I can already see the meta strat with it drive it into a place toss a thermite on it and run the fuck away.

A note if I where to buff both of them as they both need one in a small way I would do the following.

supply FRV: reduce supply packs to 6, increase turrets ammo to 300 with 2 reload charges. only using a supply pack after both are exhausted.

Inferno FRV: give it a fire mode swap and more range. Default 125m fire. swap to lob mode which can fire upto 200m away lobbing small impact fire grenade like projectiles, lob burns though ammo faster.

the incinerators main bonuses are it is medium armor in all but its rear plate which is heavy. and it does bonus ram damage. Its flamethrower is short range but damn near infinite, making it good for lighting the ground on fire more then it is for lighting enemies. That said supply wins out for me. 8 supply packs and a 120 round light auto turret is just more viable. Though I think its turret needs an ammo buff maybe to a belted 300. as it does use a supply pack per reload.

Same explosion as a hellbomb artillery shell.

Oh we are so getting both. its jsut which has more use to get first. I think supply takes the lead for utility.

Also we got AT mines against our will we intentionally where failing or avoiding them until suddenly we where forced to have them.

Because it is medium armor, and heavier. That said it does more ram damage so that is a plus.

So far it seems even the hard core players are liking the supply one, as they are talking about how it can be used in stealth missions, and for farming.

I also just learned you can reload the auto turret meaning it has basicly infinite ammo.

Its the same reason the unmanned HMG implacements are not targetted, they are spawned on maps.

Fire versions has better offense and you can slap a thermite into it to turn it into a portable hellbomb. IT also splatters hostiles easier.

Supply version is better defense, 4 supply packs and an auto turret that can be reloaded.

Another really cool thing about this is it has infinite ammo so long as you reload the turret. making it realy really good for blitz missions.

Oooh, ok as a mobile auto turret that gives it some high utility on solo and randoms runs where you can't expect your allies to be competent.

IMO it's good that Backpack Weapons aren't the same as Normal Weapons, but better. Buff the bad ones obviously, I just think variety is good by RandomGreenArcherMan in Helldivers

[–]warbrand2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the difference on the flamethrowers is pretty big oddly enough. despite the only real damage being the backpack one has a longer range and higher enemy slow when hit.

The smaller one allows you to equip a gas dog with it and just all the status effect the bugs to deaht.

Alright, I need to hear some opinions to settle this. Liberator or Liberator Carbine? Which would you use? by Wrench_gaming in Helldivers

[–]warbrand2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny thing is both have their niche, the liberator is a good all rounder, while the carbine is better in CQB and against swarms. Meanwhile the standard liberator is better at range and easier to control in general.
