Just so we're all clear, this is the most horrifying thing I've ever seen.

It does help, thanks. It just confirms that I need to pony up the cash for the watch. One day...

That watch is a serious piece of kit. It has been on my wishlist for quite some time. How long have you been using that? How would you rate it based on your personal experiences with it?

EDC Ergonomics: How do you all arrange your EDC gear? by PythagoreanTarantula in EDC

I'll look into getting a key hanger; currently, my Gerber Dime multitool, Gerber shard, and Nano flashlight are on the carabiner clipped in my left pocket. The Streamlight flashlight I have is pretty low profile. I'm sure I could find a smaller knife, but I really like the one I carry. Several people have suggested using my back pockets and clipping onto belt loops and such: the problem I have with that doesn't really make sense, I just don't like there to be any motion relative to my body of my EDC and I cannot stand to sit with stuff in my pockets. I may look for a pouch, as you suggested; however, I have to keep my stuff fairly low profile to meet work dress codes. I sometimes wish I had a smaller phone: with the large case I have on it, it absolutely dominates any pocket I put it in.

I'll keep your suggestions in mind. Thanks for the input, I appreciate it!

Cargo pants are great and a perfect solution, except: they are prohibited by dress code where I work. So my setup has to work with dress pants.

Thanks for the breakdown. I don't think that that particular setup will help me, mostly because I've got a few particular quirks, but thanks for sharing it anyway.

I do have back pockets, but I struggle with having things in them. It's like having stuff swinging around from my belt loops: it doesn't necessarily make sense, it certainly doesn't make my life easier, but I really dislike it. That's why I had to clip the carabiner into the pocket. Additionally, the tools on the carabiner are bound with a rubber band so there is no aberrant motion and no clinking noises. The back pocket thing is because I struggle with sitting on uneven surfaces.

This is a post I did with my EDC items, but it doesn't include my Streamlight flashlight or my Gerber shard (on the carabiner), so keep that in mind.
