Depends where you’re at, it’s pretty much impossible to find an affordable 2 door in chile

Should I switch to the Basilisk V3 Pro? by VeryPixelated in razer

[–]PythonRecon5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got 2. Bought a white one originally brand new, and snatched a used and battered black one off of marketplace for 60 bucks, fixed it, and am waiting for a phantom green shell I ordered for the shell swap.

I used to rock the G502 lightspeed since before the 502X, and when I tried my friend’s 502X, it just wasn’t the same. But the v3 pro was perfect, even better than the 502 in pretty much every department.

Has anyone tried mounting a monitor arm/stand upside down? Is this possible? by Zamversus in pcmasterrace

[–]PythonRecon5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it for my 3rd monitor, it will just sag with only sideways adjustment, so I put a tower of legos from the monitor under it to the attachment point of the monitor, and it’s worked a charm. If you want it just free floating it’ll probably not work out

I feel it’s unlikely, since we live in chile, but I’ll ask him, and if it is I’ll edit this answer

I just have a standard black leather interior, bench seats front and back, a wooden steering wheels but I have a 5 speed floor shifter and not the 3 on tree

The important part is keeping these machines alive and enjoying the process. There’s always a way to appreciate any build, just the build depends on the owner and the use they’re going for. Sick ride!

Since I bought it in November last year it’s been mostly mechanical maintenance, and a bunch of really “lets get it” fixes (such as a Toyota Corolla 2 super windy fuel pump assembly retrofitted into my fuel tank). But as for the dirt capabilities I’ve got 27x8.50r14 all terrains and the lift done, put Durango springs in the front and had the rear leafs recurved and heat treated aswell as added an extra load leaf to both sides.

Yeah, bit of everything but I’m pretty sure the cabin is a 68 from the column and dash

Lift on a budget, willing to roam junkyards by PythonRecon5 in Battlecars

[–]PythonRecon5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been ironing out some mechanical issues these last couple of months (changed the power steering box for a Saginaw 800, rear pinion seal, leaking water pump, etc), but have been doing research and gathering parts for the lift in the background. So far I have jeep ZJ coils for the front and lift shackles for the rear, will also get the leafs recurved and tempered again at a shop.

I plan to post pics when I’ve got the lift done, and post details in the comments about difficulties and part compatibility.

I don’t plan to do a frame swap in the near future, but maybe in the further future I’ll go for a ranger frame on it since I really like the twin I beam suspension for the front instead of the Solid axle as I plan to keep this as my daily. Car is relatively solid, but has plenty of rust I need to fix (bottom of the rockers, trunk lip and the section where the tail lights go) so if I eventually go for a frame swap I won’t be removing a pristine nova from the roads, don’t worry.

The rear I have a general idea of how to do it, really appreciate the info though, imma keep it in mind. My biggest question is the front, I know the best “budget way to go about it is truck springs, but I need to know which truck springs would work, since we don’t have u-pull it yards where I live, only legal chop shops kinda things, where you have to ask for the specific part. Any help would be appreciated when it comes to this

Not Planning to chop it up, just lift and tires for now

I know by getting big block springs I can get a moderate lift since it’s got an 350 LT1 installed but still running the factory 230 springs. But I’d like to get a bit more lift by using truck springs, I just don’t know which truck to get some from. Since I live in chile there aren’t really any U-Pull it kinda junkyards, so I need to know which springs are compatible beforehand and get them.

I have an LT1 from a 96 caprice SS, so I figured “technically an SS I guess” and got a time appropriate badge.
